the hotels in Thailand "age" relatively quickly,
so the question is, are there newly built hotels in HH,
eg opposite of the "Treffpunkt" in Soi65 there is apparently a construction site?

Not new as such, but the Marriott was refurbished a few years ago - are you looking for 5* or 3/4*?

The Standard Hua Hin on soi65 is a few months old. Beach front location as well. 5 minutes from the centre. Chocolate Factory end, rather than 'pizza corner' end.
