MRI Scan in Hua Hin

Hua Hin Hospital apparently has an excellent diagnostic imaging department.

According to what I've been told by a friend who because of various health issues, has used all of the the hospitals in Hua Hin extensively, they actually have a better range of more up-to-date equipment than Bangkok Hospital.

I can't testify to that from personal experience, however.

The problem with HH hospital is the bureaucracy and the shuffling from one person to another. Typical government BS. Other than that, I've always found the treatment to be excellent and I can't complain about the prices, especially compared to BKK hospital.
Blood test at HH; 1200 bht, at BKK: 4000 bht. However, at HH they couldn't find my veins and stabbed me 4 times, at BKK, the nurse found it easily. Money vs. Pain.

Bangkok hospital do the while body but Hua Hin just do the part where the problem is and it is much cheaper. Just go to the farang part and they will organise it for you.

Wondered if anyone has had an MRI at Hua Hin Hospital within say last 6 months and can speak to the up to date costs thereto?

You can call and ask them. I'd also call Sao Paulo and Hua Hin Hospital.
The prices for everything at BK Hospital have increased in the past year, and the drs. are of poor quality. The nursing staff is excellent.
BKH is where young drs. go to train and old drs. spend their last days. No comparison to BKH in Bangkok.

I was recently referred for a scan by my doctor at Be Well clinic. They booked an appointment at BKK hospital and I drove there from the clinic at Banyan. I did not wait two minutes at the hospital and two pleasant and professional assistants guided me through the process. They asked me to wait after the scan and less than ten minutes later I was driving back to Be Well with a CD of the scans which was immediately reviewed by my doctor. The whole process was complete within forty minutes!
In addition BKK hospital sent a report on my scans to my doctor two days later. I paid Be Well 1500 baht. When I read the reports of delays and waiting time with the NHS in the UK there is simply no comparison.....

Did you mean their first assignments, as the hospital isn't a training hospital.

Yes after thinking about it, both time and cost suggest it may have been an ultrasound scan?

To be clear I'm just looking for the cheapest MRI scan as

1.they are pretty much all the same
2. No insurance cover for this one

Yes I asked the cost at HH hospital but if other prices are known, including going to Bkk, please advise

HH Hospital scanner is a decent size for claustrophobics like me. It's just the staff and all the ridiculous red tape that make me homicidal!

Ps No way did Berlinmichael get an MRI for 1,500 baht. I very much doubt he'd get one for 15,000 baht at Bkk HH Hospital!

I have a friend who has annually (I think) MRI scans. I remember him say he doesn't get change out of 25,000 at BKK Hospital and found it way cheaper to go to Bumrungrad in BKK. Despite the journey was more than worth it.

About 2 years ago I had an ultrasound scan that cost B1,200 so either there was a 0 missing from the figure of 1,500 or it was an ultrasound.
