Wordle
If you're interested in word games and puzzles and you haven't come across this yet, give it a try. My only problem is there's only one a day...

Far too cerebral for this Norvern monkey

Re: Wordle
Is the English spelling World trying to tell me something after my first try......?

I shall endevour to continue with the hope of less verbal written abuse - not entirely sure though whether it was towards myself for being Welsh, or DM for suggesting this in the first place.....

Re: Wordle
Hint: after line 1 the app is telling you that none of those letters feature in the target word (because of the grey colour), so you shouldn't use them again. The R in line 3 is the right letter in the right position (green), so keep it there. P and C the right letter in the wrong position (yellow). Ypu got the right answer somehow, but God only knows how!

Re: Wordle
This is a game show that's been running on TV since the 80's in various forms.
Still running today on ITV - LINGO.
I believe it's available to play online.

Re: Wordle
Yeh this one gives you first and last for 6 letters. 1 letter for 5 letter words.
There are lots of other sites where you choose the level of difficulty. You are in control.
Has nobody watched Lingo on ITV? Every Monday I believe.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... LINGO.html'Is there any connection between Wordle and the TV quiz show Lingo? Or it is just a massive coincidence that they are exactly the same, right down the choice of colours?'
Another said: 'So this Wordle thing everyone's doing, it's just Lingo, right? Someone just stole Lingo and made it an app?'
While a third added: 'Hold up. So this Wordle thing I keep seeing recently is actually just Lingo?'
You can find it in many places in exactly the same format.
Motus on French tv has been around for ages and is the same as this - only with more letters
Having said that, regardless of who invented it, it is quite addictive.

Nailed my Wordle in three this morning. Genius levels.

Made it in four though. Quite enjoying this, must admit.
