Copa America

Post by dtaai-maai »

Watching the start of Argentina vs Chile before I retire to my (sadly) virtuous couch. Talk about uninspiring commentary - the guy is so laid back he sounds half asleep!

Thai TV station PPTV36 is showing all the games and they have it on catchup. But in true Thai style - the screen for the catchup video shows you the final score before you start the game.
Idiotas! :banghead:

The commentary drives you nuts also, I'd rather have it in Spanish!

So I'm not the only one that finds this super-annoying!

UEFA.tv does something very similar, they put the final score as part of the title and the opening screen of their game and highlights clips.

I wrote to them to ask (very politely) if they could remove these "spoilers" from their videos and got a rather huffy response from them that they basically didn't see it as a problem that needed addressing.

Haha, I have the same frustrations when youtubing the BT Sports highlights of a league game. BAM! The scoreline! End up kinda peeking through my fingers to avoid seeing it.

Watched the first game of the competition. To be honest, I found it too depressing going back to no fans in the stadium. And, as has been pointed out, the commentary didn't do much to liven things up. I'll watch the later stages of it.

I gave up on watching this on Thai TV with their incessant cheesy ads every ten minutes and constant buffering, you just cant get into the games.

So would that be classed as a "high tackle" then?

So the Beeb shows every match in this tournament apart from the final ... what the actual fck?!

Does anyone know where one can watch it? PPTV has the rerun at 21.30 but thats too late will need sleep primer before the Euro final.

They did show the final - I started watching it at 7am this morning on the BBC iPlayer, but to be honest I gave up after not too long as I didn’t think it was that good - hoping England’s game will be more exciting, although I’ll settle for the same result as Argentina got!!

I didn't see much of it, but enough to realise I hadn't missed much. These South Americans make the Italians look like amateur actors! Absurd...
