Quiz: Are you older than you thought?

Post by HHTel »

Came across this on FB. 50 'vintage' items. How many do you recognise?

I got 48. God I'm old. I even recognise some from Granny's house when I was a kid.

In contrast, my 30 year old daughter struggled to get half of them.

My money's on BB getting 50/50.

I would have got 47 but the gas lamp was just a lamp post when I was a kid.

I'm obviously past my prime but younger ones are catching me up.

I remember when my sister was half my age and now she's more than 4/5ths my age. So obviously I've slowed down and she's catching me up..... I love maths!!

Is this one of those quizzes much like "Pointless", where you're looking for a lower score!! :D

A couple of observations about this entertaining little quiz before they fade from my deteriorating memory banks...

It was obviously compiled in the USA where they don't speak proper English like what we Brits do (breadbox, clothespin? :tsk: ), but do people no longer use bread bins? - I thought everyone had one! And clothes pegs (not that I have a washing line, being gardenless... :( ). And vinyl is making a serious comeback these days, but I can't imagine why! (I'm preparing to :duck: )
