So stop sending everyone to hospital. In England hospitalisations yesterday were 4% of the total. 2,000 for the whole of England. All adults and the majority unvaccinated or with underlying conditions.

I don't think they are sending everyone to hospital. The afflicted few I know are all under 60 without underlying conditions and are effectively self treating at home. One person, aged about 40 and mildly diabetic (type 2) also at home.

When my son was infected a couple of weeks ago, he was told he had to isolate from my wife and I but there was no room in Gov't facilities. He had to rent a condo.

So why does the hospital have a problem resulting in cancelling other services 'because of covid'?

Also many greater companies in Hua Hin struggle with infected staff in quarantine. A bit surprised that the authorities here still ignore that flu virus migrate not unlike birds and soon we are in "winter" here in the Southern hemisphere so with some elite owned conglomerates stunts to keep up the money stream with Songkran ahead I'm afraid that will backfire both moneywise and health wise in a few weeks and I will not be surprised with 3-4 months more with strict restrictions, huge infections numbers and more fatalities. :(

Although he may have confused the seasons and be a bit geographically challenged he is right in the sense that with the onset of the rainy season flu cases do usually start to rise in Thailand, though more likely to be COVID-19 this year.

Perhaps omicron ought to be renamed COVID-21 (or 22)?

A strange anomaly on local stats today proving that these guys couldn't lie straight in bed.

The number dead is clearly shown as +3, but the increase is actually +7 on yesterday. Also if you drill down a little, it is plain to see that 6 unvaccinated people died and 1 person with 2 jabs died. Is this a typo? Or does so many deaths locally in a single day not fit the official agenda?

All that I can say is I am baffled. That is not what was there earlier - or at least not what I was looking at. I assume you use the same SSJPCKO source that I am using.

Whatever, they could still display the information in a more user friendly output (unless they are doing it in Thai, and I have not noticed). As far as I can see, the only way you can get the information is flicking from one day to another, and doing the maths in your head. The number of deaths each day is not broken down by vaccination status, which I personally like to follow. Is that there anywhere?
