Can anyone recommend an experienced Gastroenterologist in Hua Hin and what hospital they practice at?
Thanks in advance

Re: Gastroenterologist in Hua Hin
I went to Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin for a colonoscopy and testing for fatty liver, ended up both times with the same doctor. His English is excellent, his treatment and diagnosis both great. His name on my paperwork is Suthisit Likitlersuang. You'll probably get him if you just walked in with any gastro request.

Dr Suthisit is a decent GI Doctor but like all of them there his primary motive is cash.migrant wrote:Did they put you to sleep for the colonoscopy?mwbrown wrote: ↑Sat Dec 28, 2019 2:07 pm I went to Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin for a colonoscopy and testing for fatty liver, ended up both times with the same doctor. Re colonoscopy I had cameras in at both ends (but in the Bangkok Hospital in Bkk) 3 years ago now & I swear that when I came around I had to ask them 3 times if they were sure they had actually done it! Never felt a thing, and no sore throat afterwards nor anywhere else for that matter. Lady GI Doctor, she was excellent.
Totally different to UK some years beforehand.... Very uncomfortable, in both NHS and private hospital.

Thanks for the recommendation.
I have had 3 colonoscopies done in my lifetime all in the US. In all cases they used Propofol given via IV to put me under. Worked great and you come out of it relatively quickly after the procedure.
I hope they would use that method here in Thailand. I would certainly request this option if available.

Any info on costs? Don't think I want to re-mortgage the house to go to Bangkok Hospital for the procedure.

Yes! They asked me to the count backwards thing, and I think I got 2 numbers out and the next thing I knew I was in the recovery room.migrant wrote: ↑Sat Dec 28, 2019 2:50 pmDid they put you to sleep for the colonoscopy?mwbrown wrote: ↑Sat Dec 28, 2019 2:07 pm I went to Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin for a colonoscopy and testing for fatty liver, ended up both times with the same doctor.
