Have you tried taking the bulb out and taken it to one of the electrical shops in HH - might even be worth trying Homepro or Thai Watsadu?

I have tried all the known ones and a few more besides. When I show them the old bulb they glaze over. But I’m used to that!

There's a shop at the back of the day market. They helped us with a strange bulb once - they had all sorts of odd bulbs. If they don't have it, I doubt anybody will.

Now the really unhelpful bit. Guys on this forum helped us find the shop. Hopefully one of them is reading this, because I don't remember exactly where

A quick count comes up with around 6 "day markets".

Two places worth checking:

1. The electronics shop on Sa Song just down a bit from All in Hua Hin.

2. A general hardware shop on Pala-u Rd, north side just past the small Tesco shop. It used to be part of the big building supply shop, but is now separate but part of the same building. The last time I needed an odd lamp he had one.

OK, I've used Chatchai before, and was criticised for not using day market Google has no problem with 'Day Market, Hua Hin' either.

The first one sounds like the one I'm referring to.

Its helpful to know the type of base and voltage which are often coded in very small print on the bulb. Or possibly in the refrigerator’s owner’s manual, if you have it. Many sewing machines and other appliances probably use the same bulb, Also knowing the base type and voltage leaves you open to buy it mail order from Ali Express or Lazada without reference to Siemens. Some fridges and sew machines use 12 volt bulbs that are same as some bulbs used in automobiles especially if they are LED or for safety purposes. If no other luck try Googling ‘Light Bulb Bases’ or ‘Lamp Base Types’ and compare the pictures and measurements with what you have. After finding a bulb it would be helpful to mark the part number somplace on your fridge. Most, but not all, bulbs are either screw base or bayonet base. If you have not found one and its screw base and 230 volts measure the base diameter and we might have one that you can have as we have changed almost all our stuff to LED. If its a strange base, post a photo, or if you are near Soi 112 bring it, and we can probably turn you on to who has it at Ali Express

I discovered the company managing Siemens as they no longer have their own services here. The product has been ordered from Germany!
