Young people in HH
Young people in HH
Besides tourists, are there a lot of young (20-something) people living in HH?
I've been looking up a lot of info on HH but it seems reactions on it are mixed. Some claim it's only 'happy fmilies and 40+ year olds'.
I'm 23 and it'd be nice to know if there are more young, foreigners my age to hang out with? So is it common?

personaly i like Hua Hin because its slightly older and quiter than places like Pattaya and Phuket. There are many like me also. I came here to escape the the young crowd! Please go elsewhere....
Why do the young feel the need to follow the oldies? Cannot you make your own way. Just leave us alone to live in peace. Like ther's a chance! Maby i'll go to Udon Thani.....![Shocked ](./images/smilies/icon_eek.gif)

Oh Come on Rand! who would we young un's have to glean knowledge and wisdom from then? To be fair the pattaya and phuket places are getting too much in your face, even young dudes I've spoken too feel its a bit much in those places.Randy Cornhole wrote:personaly i like Hua Hin because its slightly older and quiter than places like Pattaya and Phuket. Oh cheers Randy, next time I see you in Crawfords I'll just ignore you shall I cos I'm only 27 and obviously have no right to live in Hua Hin or associate with you elder statesmen type figures?!Randy Cornhole wrote:personaly i like Hua Hin because its slightly older and quiter than places like Pattaya and Phuket. Quite right! Makes me laugh because the other day we were all sitting quietly waiting for the English game when a group of 60 year olds behind were being obnoxious and rude. In fairness they were drunk and excited about the game, but it certainly doesn't match up to Randy's idea of the world! The amount of older guys I've seen acting disgracefully in Hua Hin far outnumbers the younger one's I've seen being loutish. Never mentioned it before cos I tend to think you get all types, young and old. Seems that with some of the comments being made on the forum at the moment it's time to address the balance and drag some people back into reality.JW wrote:Villa Boy,
Next time we see the old uns in Crawfords i think we should behave like football hooligans, just to show Randy and co. how lucky they are to have us here!
Young people like 'peace and quiet' too. I know I do.Randy Cornhole wrote:personaly i like Hua Hin because its slightly older and quiter than places like Pattaya and Phuket. There are many like me also. I came here to escape the the young crowd!
But that doesn't mean I don't want a social life. Hence why I asked about where young people hang out in HH.

I believe buksida said on the 'Young Crew' thread that age is just a number, and really that is true. All ages can learn from the others and can have a good time doing it. Most blokes (and possibly women too) don't 'feel' mentally any older than they did in their 20's, which explains why you'll find 40 and over guys in places you probably wouldn't at home (e.g. karaoke bars at 4am
). The only areas that there are large differences between the generations are normally music, fashion and comedy, but those are disputed by people of the same age too! Much as the younger generations can learn from their elders, the older generations can re-learn from them to keep an open mind and not allow accrued and sometimes inaccurate prejudices blinker them.
P.S. One difference I forgot but is particularly relevant to a messageboard - text speak. It hasn't afflicted this board too much thankfully, and while it is fine to be used for SMS, I find it incredibly irritating elsewhere. Young people please note!![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
