The Thai text was put through Google Translate and this is a 'free translation' of it:
"The months of November - February of each year, are the monsoon season. The monsoon winds and high tides during the day, while the water rises, blow a lot of garbage and sewage up into many rivers and mangroves. Lots of garbage will be blown into the Pranburi river and mangrove forest. Some of it stays behind on the banks of the river or gets trapped in the roots of trees in the mangrove forest. This is a bad thing and it has a huge impact on the mangrove ecosystems and life in the mangroves.
This time, we invite everyone to join together to protect the Pran River at the mangrove forest, at the Sirinat Mangrove Ecosystem Learning Center. On Sunday, November 29, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
meeting place at Sirinat Rajini Mangrove Ecosystem Study Center.
Volunteers who wish to participate in this activity can register till the 27th of November to participate in this activity.
Contact for more details at 032-632255 or Facebook "Sirinat Rajini Mangrove Ecosystem Study Center".
What participants need to be aware of, and take care of:
1. Your clothes probably will get dirty and wet

What is 02.jpg, some kind of squid light that washed in from the boats? They do look suspiciously stashed there though, so maybe the work of lazy beach litterers.

Yes, stashed there, rather than work a few extra yards to the bins.

Re: Clean Hua Hin's beaches movement - Trash Hero
I don't normally post in this thread, but this afternoon I did the filming for the last in my series Kata Around Hua Hin. We are finishing with beach shoots, and we need to clean whatever bit of beach we use, and some are pretty disgusting. I took rubber gloves, and a big black dustbin bag to today's shoot. To prepare this small piece of beach, I completely filled my black bin bag in under 5 minutes. The entire 'small' area has probably at least a dozen more bin bags full of rubbish waiting to be cleared. I wonder why the Trash Heroes never visit this beauty spot, but concentrate most of their efforts around Khao Takiab. They are called Trash Hero, Hua Hin after all.
Anyway, this week alone, I've personally cleared 2 areas on Hua Hin's beaches and 1 at Had Sai Noi. I'm not looking for any accolades. I'm just pointing out our beaches extend beyond the Khao Takiab area, and maybe rather than moan about the state of the beaches, take a sack with you, and spend 5 minutes cleansing your own personal space.
