Indian restaurants in Hua Hin
Re: Indian restaurants in Hua Hin
Can highly recommend The Spices in Soi 51.
Excellent quality and quantity. Not quite up to Mukti but a lot less expensive.

I and family eat from S & S 2 or 3 times a month. Have done for many years and never had a problem.

I just passed by there two days ago and reminded myself to visit it soon. I’ve heard good things. That whole area is really getting some exciting new venues.

Had a meal at Shiva last night, first time there and very impressed. Great garden setting, outstanding service, and one of the best Indian meals I've had in Thailand, will be back.

I still suggest you try SHIVA which has been very good for years and in a nice garden too!Jack_Batty wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 8:27 pmI just passed by there two days ago and reminded myself to visit it soon. I’ve heard good things. That whole area is really getting some exciting new venues.

Yes, some Indians may sell slightly better food (debatable) , but you won't beat Shiva's ambiance.

Pollitos
This is not an Indian restaurant but it might interest readers of this thread. Pollitos, the roast chicken restaurant in Hin Lek Fai has an "All you can eat" curry night on Tuesday nights for 189bt.
They had about five different currries ( all chicken, obviously, it's a chicken restaurant! ), a couple of which were Indian style with rice, a potato dish and nan bread.
It's the best value eating I've done for a long while!

Yes, I've been seeing that offer for some time now - unfortunately, the day of the offer makes it impossible.
Actually, I've seen they have some other excellent offers on other nights, but none of them actually suit me at the moment.
Pleased to hear the food was as good as the offer sounds.

Yes, apparently the ribs night is good as well, I haven't tried it personally but friends have and were impressed.
Re: Indian restaurants in Hua Hin
Would they be chicken ribs? It's a chicken restaurant.
Sorry, Steve. Couldn't resist it!

Yeah, been there. It’s not bad at all. Not in my top three though.PET wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2024 9:54 amI still suggest you try SHIVA which has been very good for years and in a nice garden too!Jack_Batty wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 8:27 pmI just passed by there two days ago and reminded myself to visit it soon. Re: Pollitos
Forgetting the (Indian) curries for a while, it seems that's not what "Pollitos" offers as a whole. It's a Chicken restaurant after all apparently - what are the offerings?STEVE G wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2024 9:16 pm This is not an Indian restaurant but it might interest readers of this thread. I've only been there for the curry night but they have a chicken rotisserie at the front.pharvey wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2024 11:49 pmForgetting the (Indian) curries for a while, it seems that's not what "Pollitos" offers as a whole.
