Changing face of Pattaya

The planners in P have being trying to change the image for years but it seems to be happening, no thanks to them. Search Pattaya+changing and there is a great deal of talk about this. The influx of Russian families, Indian, Asian and Arabic tourists has changed the mix. The single, white, British/Aussie/European naughty boy is no longer the leading group of visitors and apparently the flesh industry is suffering. There is a feeling that the naughty boys will look elsewhere, not necessarily to other Thai resorts, but we will see.

That doesn't sound like a bad thing, the last time I was there, probably about six years ago, it was still a pretty sleazy place.
