I think that you will find that is from the date the extension is granted, NOT the date the visa was issued.2) from the date the visa starts

It is NOT a "new" visa, but an extension of stay based on your original visa, so you extension has nothing to do with anything "new"!I think I understand your point though, it's 3 months from the actual date you were granted the extension(which is clearly stamped in my passport) not 3 months after the new visa became valid
Yes 3 months after the datethecolonel wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2023 6:42 pm"NOT the date the visa was issued"Nereus wrote:I think that you will find that is from the date the extension is granted, NOT the date the visa was issued.2) from the date the visa starts

Ok noted but as re your words..... are they not one in the same thing?

Joelle, based on your experience do you think I can move the money(same bank) 3 months or more after the date I was granted the new visa (but not more than 6 months)?
Thanks all
Ps as regards it being posted several times before that's why I apologised (twice) as I was rushing to the bank and felt I'd seen it before...

Ok, so you're suggesting that this transfer of original 800k should be done at same time as (or day after) extension renewal one year in order that one can show the historical 12 monthly 65K payments at the following year's renewalBig Boy wrote:The only comment I have is at renewal time they like to see 12 monthly transfers from the UK, so it would take a while to build up the historical transactions,
Well if its time sensitive then bearing in mind my extension renewal date was only 3 months ago then there's no point in me doing anything for nowBig Boy wrote:The other thing to bear in mind is Big Joke wants to move the goalposts next year, so doing anything just yet could be shooting yourself in the foot. Maybe best to wait and see if he gets his way i.e. could you be Grandfathered if in the process of changing methods?
How would that work in practice - example please?Robert williams wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 11:54 am Has any member successfully used the income + money in bank method to renew a non o visa - retirement not marriage?
I managed that one year. I was transferring money from the UK on a monthly basis, but as the transfer fees were high, I switched to the 800,000 Baht in the bank. Immigration accepted this, they called it a combination. You must do one or the other, but can change it during the year.Robert williams wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 11:54 am Has any member successfully used the income + money in bank method to renew a non o visa - retirement not marriage?
