hi
hi
Originally from UK but still living and working in the UAE until we either retire, or are told to retire, to our house in Hua Hin. Used to living outside UK but not used to not working so we know there will be some challenges ahead. Visiting on a regular basis and looking forward to being there on a permanent basis before too long. Regularly using the forum for guidance – usually enjoying the content – and promising myself that when the move eventually takes place, I will avoid using the forum to moan about the place I have chosen to retire.

Re: hi
Welcome to the Forum nuhuahin. We share similar backgrounds, I'm a Brit who worked for 4 years in the UAE and before that in Bahrain/Saudi before taking early retirement about 18 months ago having worked for the same company for 42 years. I had been coming to Thailand since '97 and HH since 2002. I think I've made the adjustment to living here and not working reasonably well although it has its moments when it can seem to be going wrong, but then that applies almost everywhere? I'm sure you will enjoy it once you get here providing you have a balanced outlook and by working/living in the Middle East, I'm sure you will have.
