Waiting with baited breath. Mind you, at that price there's very little to lose.

Its a third of what ExpressVPN is charging so even if I can't use it for iPlayer (which barely works for me anyway), I'll take it if it does everything else the same!

The “standard” package with Nord for 2 years and 3 months free is £77.44, so yes considerably cheaper than Express, but for me it will only be a goer if I can access iPlayer, ITV Hub etc.

I'd like an alternative also, if it works as well as Express. I need good service to the USA as much of my sports etc., are there. Best gateway city for Thailand is Seattle based upon server distance.

If anyone using Nord, or any other besides Express, to the USA, please post.

I’ve read other reports where Express come out top - there may not be a great deal of difference between their technical performance, the biggest difference seems to be the price.

I used to have Surfshark before switching to NordVPN and although I haven't used either of them for US sports they both seemed fine to access US content on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video etc.

I only stopped using Surfshark because NordVPN seems pretty reliable (touch wood) and didn't see the point of paying for two VPN apps when one will do.

I've tried numerous VPN Providers over the years, both free and subscription - I settled on Cyber Ghost and whilst I've not used in Thailand for a fair few years, I worked and visited many countries with stricter policies than Thailand (China, Russia, Iran, Iraq come to mind..). The LHG is using now in China - though she won't be accessing iPlayer! :D

Very user friendly, pick and choose location (for the likes of UK TV (iPlayer, ITV et al in my case), US/Aus etc., etc. Numerous countries/Servers to choose from and numerous options including "Dedicated IP", "No Spy Servers", "Best Servers for...Gaming/Torrents/Streaming" - Antivirus/Security included (though I have other sources for this).

It's reasonably priced - certainly for what it provides and I honestly can't remember it failing. As with several others, there are offers around especially for longer term contracts (24 months +/-). They used to offer a free week's trial, but whether this still applies, I can't say.

I can't get iPlayer to work on my Firestick with ExpressVPN. Very annoying!

Just FWIW and to pass on my personal experience, I just brought a Firestick 4K back from the UK and have no problem watching BBC iPlayer, ITVX etc using NordVPN.

I mention the model because strange as it may seem, you do get different behaviour from different devices from the same company. For instance, I have a Mi TV box and a Mi TV stick and split tunneling* works fine on the stick but won't work at all on the box.

Split tunneling also works on the Firestick 4K by the way, in case anyone's interested.

*Split tunneling allows you to have the VPN on, but only have it active for the apps you choose. So I can leave the VPN on all the time and watch BBC, ITV and TrueID or BeIN Sports Thailand without switching the VPN on and off as I switch between apps that require different geolocations.

I just saw that if you subscribe to Nord within the next 9 hours you get 3 months for free.
