The one advantage of not owning land in Thailand is that, if the shit hits the fan, you can buy a plane ticket and leave.

I’d love to know how the Thai authorities react to these cartoons - surely they realise they are the laughing stock of the world!!

Also amazed that, as a farang, he gets away with it. Thais don't take criticism very well and most of his cartoons do exactly that!

I doubt that they have any idea of what the world thinks of these cartoons and probably dismiss any criticism as Western, and therefore not to be taken seriously.

Also, I doubt whether the world cares what goes on in Thailand. I know that before I came here, I never gave a thought to Thailand, and most people have enough problems where they live and don't pay attention to what happens here.

At the moment Ukraine/Russia & China/Taiwan/US are using up all the air in the room.

I’m sure they do care about what outsiders think of them, I mean how would you feel if you were considered the laughing stock of the Forum?

Whether I'm laughed at, reviled, or celebrated, makes no difference to me. I'm not what others think of me. I'm not an insecure person who needs the approval of others to know his worth.

As for the Thai government, I have no idea what or if they think about what others think about them.
And, as I said, I doubt whether the rest of the world gives much thought to Thailand. or Lithuania, Bolivia, Montenegro, or other small countries that don't affect an outsider's way of life.
In the grand scheme of things, countries like Thailand and those I mentioned are not on most people's radar.
