Also, I doubt whether the world cares what goes on in Thailand. I know that before I came here, I never gave a thought to Thailand, and most people have enough problems where they live and don't pay attention to what happens here.

At the moment Ukraine/Russia & China/Taiwan/US are using up all the air in the room.
I’m sure they do care about what outsiders think of them, I mean how would you feel if you were considered the laughing stock of the Forum?
Whether I'm laughed at, reviled, or celebrated, makes no difference to me. I'm not what others think of me. I'm not an insecure person who needs the approval of others to know his worth.

As for the Thai government, I have no idea what or if they think about what others think about them.
And, as I said, I doubt whether the rest of the world gives much thought to Thailand. or Lithuania, Bolivia, Montenegro, or other small countries that don't affect an outsider's way of life.
In the grand scheme of things, countries like Thailand and those I mentioned are not on most people's radar.
Didn't Stephff have his work permit revoked or extension refused a few years ago? Does he still work from inside Thailand?

Working from outside the country would explain how he gets away with these audacious cartoons. Its illegal to criticize the junta on social media here FFS.

Stephff is one of Thailand's best known and most respected cartoonists. He is French, lives in Bangkok and a full-time political cartoonist.

The snake, lizard (hia), and alligator all represent corrupt Thai politicians/generals/dictators/police/army and/or symbolize the regime and oppression. The boots and Mamba hark back to the Yingluck days when she went to visit flood victims wearing very expensive boots I believe.

He has a lot of material at the moment ...

I'm not sure that Pheua Thai was born from dreams of democracy either.
