"All the otters don't understand me"
"We might make you bother"
Okay, I'll ask the stupid question - why is there what appears a wall so close to the house, presumably blocking the windows? I can see it says, 'selected tile finish', but I don't know what that refers to?
thanks guys for taking the time to look closely at the design,
the area in question is a bedroom, behind the tiled wall is a small private pool, the bedroom is then contained within floor to ceiling glass, bringing the outside pool and wall into the room, but at the same time being completely private from the outside world.
am renderering an image now, should be ready later so i will post it so you can see what i mean.

Trying to work this out, US - the pool is obviously not intended for swimming in, but is it intended for any kind of use, given that it gets no sun? Is it purely a sort of 'objet d'art' for the bedroom?
Have to say I think I'd find it quite difficult to sleep there!
yes the pool is for swimming, but more of a splash pool than for laps.
The pool can easily be heated.so no sun required.
(no bingobango, not the way your thinking).

yes i believe everyone likes a view, however, its not always possible.
the bedroom at the rear overlooks the main pool.
the point of the room is to keep privacy and also have the best of both worlds.

Pushing the wall back a bit - simply to allow for a few plants/colour on the other side of the splash pool would improve it for me. However I guess that would allow more (some) sun through and when having floor to ceiling glass, that could well defeat the object and turn the bedroom into a furnace.
Which actually brings up another point/thought - I'm guessing there are no ''windows'' as such, so no natural circulation of air (?), which would also be an issue for me especially in a tropical climate such as Thailand's.
Do like the look of the remainder of the place though, so not trying to put a complete downer on the design..... just some constructive criticism

A view is always possible - we call it windows. Sorry splitlid but a lot of people do need windows - even in bedrooms. To wake up with sun streaming through wondows/blinds is what life is all about IMO.
