Hello Tony,
We are specialized in healthcare insurance that we can offer from a broad range of companies, as well from Thailand as from abroad, for example: Bupa, LMG Pacific Healthcare, Thai Health, ThaiVivat, NZI, Pacific Cross, April Mobilite, William Russell, AXA etc.
Plans that cover almost everything for 100 % and cheaper limited plans are available. Below some example ages with a very cheap option and the very best option:
30: 2,528 - 18,450
40: 2,842 - 24,350
50: 3,573 - 31,813
60: 4,617 - 38,894
70: 8,014 - 66,383
80: on application - 72,553
Prices for the best option are for inpatient only with no deductible and guaranteed lifetime renewable. Also these premiums are calculated by the present currency rates since some are in euro's or dollars.
These are just some examples. There is a wide range of plans in between. To be able to choose the best option for your personal situation (Healthcare insurance is tailormade), you’re always welcome to visit or contact our office.
Best Regards,
Matt

Re: Health Insurance
If you're looking for responses from a wider audience, [Mod edit: no competing forums please, its in the t&cs]
Re: Health Insurance
I've been corresponding with Matt of the post above ^^ as well as other agencies/companies and I can tell you that he offers some of the best options available, especially for the over 60 farang expat.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
Re: Health Insurance
Yeah, I was aware of that. Never crossed my mind they were considered competition, just like I never considered my community college basketball team to be competing with the Los Angeles Lakers.Homer wrote:If you're looking for responses from a wider audience, [Mod edit: no competing forums please, its in the t&cs]
Re: Health Insurance
Could not agree more. Matt has my vote even though I am past the age for health insurance... Always takes good (honest) care of people that I refer.hhfarang wrote:I've been corresponding with Matt of the post above ^^ as well as other agencies/companies and I can tell you that he offers some of the best options available, especially for the over 60 farang expat.
Re: Health Insurance
Yeah; we're just a small time college squad so why try an' push the Lakers when we try to take care of our own? Common sense is the answer to that one Homer.Homer wrote: Yeah, I was aware of that. Re: Health Insurance
Do the insurance companies here actually pay up or are they going the way of the U.S. and UK, where departments are dedicated to find some way to disqualify you?
If someone, not a broker, can pm me a recommendation for an insurer, I'd appreciate it.

Re: Health Insurance
No recommendations but you are better going through an agent who can advise you as to the different companies.
And if there is any dispute the agent can go to bat for you and they know who to talk to at the insurance company and how to talk to them.
Also in emergencies patients do not always remember to bring their insurance info to the hospital but one call to the agency will take care of that.

Re: Health Insurance
After being insured with BUPA for a number of years and just paying up year on year, I decided to go to AA Insurance in HH a while back and check up on my cover.
Mat at AA went through the whole thing with me and it turned out I was under-insured because of the increases in medical costs here over the last 10 years.
He then put together a package of several different health insurers for me with comparative tables regarding benefits and (future) premiums.
This allowed me to make an informed choice.
He visited me twice at my request to advise me on different aspects.
I moved to a new insurance company on the basis of this and had an accident a few weeks later.
I ended up in hospital in Pattaya before all the paperwork had come through.
They wanted to take my passport, Visa card and the whole lot before they would operate.
However, I managed to get hold of Mat on the phone and everything was sorted out by the next morning without me having to pay anything up front.
I now have a medical card from the company which I can present at the hospital if such a situation happens again and the hospital then settles directly with the insurance company.
I agree with Dr. Mike here - it's invaluable in such situations to have somebody knowledgeable and reliable to sort things like this out and who sees it as part of normal customer service.

Re: Health Insurance
With regards to medical insurance and retirees, I feel that unless the retiree has a private medical policy of some sort, then in a lot of ways Thailand is importing a welfare disaster.
I think sooner rather than later the government will have to a make a private medical policy a requirement for a retirement visa.
Take my case for example, I am fully covered by my companies’ policy, but sooner I hope rather than later I will retire.
So within the next 5/10 years I will need to start looking at policies, which if they are to give me the same coverage as now I imagine they are going to be fairly expensive, but for me I just could not consider not being covered.

Hello Siani,
To answer your question: yes, these premiums are in baht and for a year. Some of the figures might have changed by now since some companies raised their premiums with the new calender year. Please pm me if you would like to have more information
