Attacked by a snake, do you know what snake is it ?

This snake tried to come in our home, he wasn't lucky enough to achieve his goal, anyone know what snake is it and if it's a dangerous one ?

Need a better photo of the colors of the top of his body for ID, but he/she/it doesn't look like a friendly one.

I believe it's another rat snake from the markings, like the other photos we've had on here and those I've killed at my house. No danger at all except fright. They can get to 1.5 meters or so and quite fat if they've been dining well. If you still have it, pry open the mouth, use a slim stick or knife blade and run it along the inside of it's top jaw from back to front. If fangs present, they'll come down and be seen easily. Don't think you'll find any though. Pete

It looks like a Cobra to me.
Any patterns or marks on the neck?

Looks like it could be this one from the twin stripes on the head... It's called a keelback and they are venomous, but do not have fangs so (like a coral snake) have to grab a small appendage and chew on it a while to break the skin... then you could be in trouble. These snakes like water... is there water near where you found it?

It also could be a Malayan pit viper... looks similar in this photo of one that just regurgitated a lizard.

^ Sorry, that photo is a non-venomous "mock" viper which has similar markings to a Malayan pit viper.

Here's the real Malayan viper... probably not the same as yours.

I've just shown my (Thai) daughter Johan's snake, and she is convinced it is a cobra. I then showed her Pete's snake, and she said it wouldn't hurt you, but it'sgood for eating. Finally, I showed her hhfarang's snake, and she said that one will hurt you, but it takes a long time because it doesn't have good teeth.

She was spot on with Pete and hhfarang's comment, so I'd go with a cobra.

Johan, that looks very nasty to be honest.

Do you not have one of these, it will clear up this nuisance immediately and will usually prevent the problem from coming back for at least 6 months...

That is a cobra, look at the jaw line - that is a close escape Johan.
