Calling all bibliophiles...
Yes, you know who you are, you perverts. We've all seen you furtively sniffing books in public libraries, hanging around outside bookshops wearing old raincoats and queuing forlornly outside Dick's Office at 7 on a Saturday morning.
Well, it has been brought to my attention that the great-grandmother of the mia noi of my wife's Thai boyfriend has some 8,000 2nd hand books that she is desperate to get rid of. Anyone thinking of opening a bookshop? It can't be any dafter than running a bar, surely...?
Seriously, it's the stock of the former bookshop opposite the railway, so presumably in assorted languages. I don't suppose she's terribly interested in selling half a dozen, but if anyone's interested in all or a substantial portion, drop me a PM and I'll put you in touch.

That's where I buy all my books if your talking about the one that used to be in Satukarn Square. I'll be devastated if she goes out of business. It's the best source of used books in Hua Hin!
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
Re: Calling all bibliophiles...
Welcome back DM and a happy new year as well.

Bloody hell DM, that must be the longest honeymoon on record! Good to see you back here.

Re: Calling all bibliophiles...
Thank you for the warm welcome, a lovely start to the day.
HHF, the old gentleman who runs the first bookstall inside Market Village as you approach Lotus is very accommodating.
Good luck with the 'books into fishfood' project, Terry!
Honeymoon schmunnymoon. That was last year. Then I got ill. Never connected the two before...
One of the side effects of chemotherapy in my case was an aversion to the Internet, and I rarely switched on the pc. My doctor tells me the fact I can now log on again doesn't necessarily mean everything's OK. Pah, what does she know?
Ok, where did I put my breakfast glass of papaya leaf extract...?

Terry, are you going to sell or swap them. I'm desperate as this was my number 1 reading material source and without it I may hang myself!

Mornin' HHF! Terry was just putting a friend in touch, so leave the poor feller alone. I'm also acting on behalf of a friend, but I can put you in touch if you're interested in buying a large number. The books are in a rented room somewhere, so it's not just a pop-in job. If all else fails, I have another friend with a job lot of good rope for sale...
Thanks again for the good thoughts, chaps - my glass is definitely half full right now.
