Celtic Bar's ok if you like to flash the cash and act like the big man. If you don't believe in that though it's a bit poor. The girls seem to only bother with guys they think they can extract money from. Couples are largely ignored unless they tip extravagently, and guys if they're not old, fat and loaded. No big deal but it does all seem a bit false and for me it's the crap side of Thailand.

Can't comment on the "flash the cash" bit, but I do know that, as a woman, it doesn't have particularly friendly staff. I've been in there with my boyfriend & with female friends & largely been ignored. Big change from many other bars where the girls go out of their way to talk to you. Not one I particularly favour...

As a true Celtic FC supporter, this bar only serves to brings down the name of my club. It has nothing to do with Celtic FC. It was founded by a Croation who was admittedly an ardent Celtic fan. Since he left, the name and illusion continues but the ownership now has no connection whatsover with Celtic FC. I went in there once to watch an important Celtic match and they hadn't a clue Celtic were playing.
I think the point that Jockey was trying to make is that the bar basically misrepresents itself. I am sure alot of ardent Celtic fans make their way there expectantly hoping to see a Celtic game with like minded supporters only to be told "No have."
If my memory serves me correctly, doesn't the bar use the club badge as its sign?
My previous comments re the bar say it all. Jockey is bang on and it does matter to those of us who are "Celtic minded" that the bar is being passed off as something clearly it is not.
Thankfully Ken has the Bhoys' games sorted and the Hua Hin Celtic community will soon be growing in numbers.
Jockey, I'll make sure I get you a programme this Saturday.
I too went into the U-Turn bar but found it dead.
Nobody about.
Girls I found were few and far between.
And the one I did get talking to said she was new in town and wanted extra money because it was her first bar fine (If I took her) and it would bring her luck.
Tough I said to myself no luck from me then.
