There probably isn't a specialised clinic (in the UK called Gum clinic) here, it's just rock up to the usual doctor for a GP diagnosis for related stuff but it's a strange thing how the receptionist at the hospital enquires about the affiction that you posess, and want to ask too many questions, which is an invasion of privacy IMHO, even if she is just trying to allocate you to the right doctor section, it's way out of order.
IMHO you should check the Internet and the sites available to get a "pointer" for the right direction regarding the symptoms that someone might be experiencing, then go to the doc and converse about eventualities. There are treatments for some STDs that are available "over the counter" here if you know what you are talking about but a large amount of caution should be advised.
For example:
Syphilis can be sorted by a penicillin course of pills or injections depending on primary/secondary or not so commonly for tertiary factors which is doc's domain, it will take a doctor to conclude as it's often called the "great imitator".
Gonorrrhoea and Clamidyia can be treated by Azithromycin 250mg which you can buy from 'Boots' or other "outlets" but you have to read the bumf (blurb) to get the treatment sequence right.
Check on the Internet and then go see a doc but all is often available through readily available sources.
I'm not a doc but just suggest people Google some stuff to get a general "heads up" and then go see the doc.

Split- take another look at what Spitfire says.
Most STD's are readily diagnosible and most treatments are readily available.
It won't takemore than half an hour of research.
FYI, a course of Zithromax, Cipro and Doxycycline or Amoxycilin will cover pretty much all bases. All are available OTC at Boots. Total cost (1, 2 & 3 together 820 baht ). Read the blurb. Amoxy causes some nasty headaches if you are penicilin sensitive.
Dosages are available online, failing that ANY pharmacopia (ask in either a library or a pharmacy to see a copy) will detail them.
If you don't trust yourself with self diagnosis, or are asking on someone else's behalf, there is a reference in nightcrawlers to a good STD doctor at San Paolo. You could enquire there.

Further to that, for the terminally curious, I had a case of hematospermia which is more likely to be due to trauma (which was probably the case), or prostate issues. Quite scary but more often than not no medical cause for concern. Cleared up after a few days, but I did a course of cipro jut to cover the bases.
