looking for advice

any ex pat couples or familys settled into hua hin maybe in the last 12 months...we are just looking for good advice on resettling and getting the best sorce of marketin and advertising for our small hotel

Hi Jackdaniel, well I guess this post has been an advertisement in a way, I am coming to HH in April with the wife and 13 year old daughter, if you could get me details of your hotel you may have a booking on your hands !

Hi Jackdaniel - my only advice would be to take time to walk around HH, find your way around, familiarise yourself with the place and meet the locals. Make a plan and have a meal in a different expat run business every day. Introduce yourself personally and show that you are willing to spend. Look at joining a pool or darts team and get yourself a team at your place eventually. Visit suppliers etc.
It takes time, but in a place like HH the value of networking can't be underestimated. Be prepared to spend as much as you earn for a while.
Word of mouth counts for a lot unless your hotel has a deal with a Western tour operator.
