^^ Yep, a very tough loss to take that one Pete - especially considering the Australians were down to 13 men for some 7 minutes and didn't concede a point!! :banghead: Hats off to them though - some incredible defense.

Some positives in an improved scrum (though still work to do), a good backrow performance and some stand out defense. A little worrying was the penalty count again against Wales (9-4 I think) and also injury concerns over Williams and Roberts.

So, we get the Jaarpies next Saturday for the "lucky" opportunity to meet the Blackness in the Semis!! Nothing like an easy route...... :banghead:

Great weekend of Rugby.

Samoa v Scotland was a flowing great game right up to the end, followed by the Australians holding out the Welsh attack with an unbelievable defensive display, don't know how they did it but just could not believe how the Welsh boys did not score during that period, could have been oh so different.

Then the bhoys in green put on a fabulous squad display, thought we would lose it after the break with POC and JS off injured but the replacements did a great job with Henderson outstanding. So we are now in Wales boat with players dropping like flies and the possibility of SOB being cited :-( Next weekend should be interesting!!

No, just trying to bring people back to Earth. I think it'll be a long time before a second Norther Hemisphere team's name finds it's way on to that trophy. If England couldn't do it, what hope for the minnows? :run:

It was indeed.
Fair play to Wales, with such a depleted squad they were superb and equal praise for the Aussies, not many teams would have withstood that pressure when down to 13 men.

Not only have the southern hemisphere sides got all the flair and attacking side of the game off to a tee, they defend with equal passion.
None of the northern sides would have stopped Wales scoring in that period, especially the George North effort. :|
