Thanks guys - Mrs BB has phoned them, and they are twiddling a few things (see, I can do tech speak). They will phone when they've finished twiddling.

We had to call the engineer on 7 different occasions within a couple of days in the end. The current fix still seems to be holding since about 10am today.

I lost my Internet connection yesterday afternoon for about 16 hours. They told me there was a problem with the line - I guess they weren't lying

Yes, I think if your connection goes through there, you were out, regardless of provider.

Hin Lek Fai area no problem what so ever
It does not matter where you come from, it's where you are going that matters.

3BB at bor fai has been on and off for a couple of weeks now.

I use chrome and I had a lot of "resolving host" messages at the bottom of the screen, the pages would either load very slowly or not at all and eventually I would lose connectivity. I put it down to a problem with 3BB. resetting the router solved it, but after a few hours it would happen again. Lots of "resolving host" messages, slowdowns and disconnection.

I eventually googled "resolving host" and based on the advice I found, made some adjustments to my set up, and since then the problems have gone away completely. I dont understand the technicalities of either what the "resolving host" message means, or the nature of the fix I was advised to carry out, but it was easy to do and it has seemed to work.

My internet is now fast, 18+mbps and pages load fully and instantly.

Here is the page I took my advice from, maybe it will be of use to somebody.
