No excuses, just not good enough, end of story! :(

Fair play to the Aussies, they had a gameplan, stuck with it and reaped the rewards.
For most of the game we were kind of hoping for something to happen, they made it happen.

Where to go from here?? :?

Unbelievable NRL Grand Final. Cowboys 17 Broncos 16. 16 to 12 since well before end of first half, and Cowboys score a try at minute 80, but miss the extra point. A few minutes later in injury time they kicked the winning point. This was the way a grand final should be! :D Big storm here and TV off at minute 78 so I missed the try that tied it 16-16. :guns:

That's it for the NRL this season. See you in the autumn......early March. Pete

^ Fair play BB, fair play!! :thumb:

The thing that p!$$es me off though is the - "Sack the coach", "Sack the captain" BS straight after the game..... A few poor decisions from both and some team players not playing to their best - but seriously, you're into ending people's careers over this (and I guess the Welsh) result. It's pathetic. Hate to say it, but England have had some bl**dy good results over the past few years under the same management and captaincy - why change now? Yes, maybe you need to look in a slightly different direction, but does it need wholesale changes?

I've seen some interviews with Australian league players, and surprisingly it seems most of them have careers other than Rugby because frankly most/many don't get paid enough to hold them over the 5-6 month off season.

That makes me ask do we have any million dollar per season Rugby Union players? What is an average yearly contract valued at? Pete

^ Now having some time after the morning rush, I found the below. Link shows there is 1 over a million pounds (soon), Dan Carter at 1.4. Others in the half million range. That leads me to think the non-famous but experienced are 100-200, and those who were talking about ''other jobs" in Australia would be less than 100 for a season IMO. Pete

Well, if you look a little earlier in the thread..... http://huahinforum.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... &start=600

But what annoys me, is the low IQ Muppetts who will out earn the rugby guys' annual salary within a month or two.

France will destroy us if we play like that but hopefully we wont.

So we have at least have another couple of games to play 8)
