Re: The Car Challenge
There was another fastback version of the Hillman Imp but I can't remember what it was called.
I remember by brother buying an old Imp for 80 pounds in about 1978 but I'm not sure it was even worth that!

Re: The Car Challenge
After a bit of a read, there was both a Hillman and a Sunbeam Californian that had that body shape.

Re: The Car Challenge
Last but not least attempt, correct!! They were all basically the same car with just a few subtle changes between them. This shows the Sunbeam badge.Bristolian wrote:Sunbeam Stiletto is my last ditched attempt![]()

It looks like a cross between an old Austin and an Amstrong Siddely, although I don't think it is either?

Can't see the picture properly but ... is it my wife ?
I can see the picture really but have no idea what it is, but it looks quite upmarket.
That black and red two-tone seems familiar. It doesn't look very British but is RHD (or have you flipped the picture?). It looks slightly German mid 1940's ?.

Is it a 1940's Riley?
Re: The Car Challenge
Not fiddled with the photo. Early 1950`s. Not German.

Re: The Car Challenge
It looks too big and too overstated to be British but in the background I can see Minis. Maybe an auction in Australia? Was it made in Australia?

Re: The Car Challenge
It's a French car called a Hotchkiss Anjou made in a really good vintage year - 1951, same as me!!
Must admit that I had never heard of them before.

If you look at the photo, it has embedded in it the name Oldtimerfarm, which I found is a car auction house based in Belgium and the car was one of many they were selling for €16,950.
