I was at Bluport today and can confirm that Lab Pharmacy is open. The shelves are not fully stocked yet but obviously in progress.

Gourmet Market closing tomorrow. Supermarket reopening in June apparently

Looking forward to the new model and away with the old!
In reality, The Mall Group stopped supplying Bluport with fresh stock months ago.

OK - when I asked one of the cashiers last week, she told me it would re-open 'next month' (i.e. March), which did seem a little fast to me, considering how much work still has to be done.

I was in BluPort today. There are notices everywhere stating that the wine section is open now, the fresh market section will open on 31st March and the full opening will happen on 31st May.
Re: Gourmet Market, soon Big C Hua Hin Marché @ BluPort
I've just been looking at the soft opening photos - it does indeed look quite impressive, and prices that I see look competitive.

Certainly looks impressive, so whilst I very rarely go to Blueport , I might have to give it a try.
Re: Gourmet Market, soon Big C Hua Hin Marché @ BluPort
I've just come back from Big C Hua Hin Marché, and overall, my first impression is favourable. A much larger choice of goods compared with Lotus's, and prices are very favourable. 2 prices at Lotus's that are fresh in my mind from earlier today are coffee. Khao Shong was 4฿ more expensive, but Nescafe Coffee Granules was 4฿ cheaper, so swings and roundabouts there.
On the down side, the aisles are very small, and there was barely passing room for the new Big C trollies. My son was dumping our trolley at the end of each aisle and walking. Fortunately, my wife doesn't need her wheelchair much since her operation, but I don't think her wheelchair could pass a trolley in the same aisle.
One big fail was bread. Our favourite bread brand is rarely available at Lotus's these days, so I thought we'd look at the Bic C selection. We couldn't find any bakery section whatsoever. Maybe something that is coming later i.e. this was only the soft opening.
I think we will use the shop more often as the Lotus's selection (relevant to the Baan Big Boy household) seems to be getting smaller and smaller.

My first impression was negative. Not that much choice, no "new" products, everything slightly more expensive than old Gourmet market, etc. Maybe it will improve in the coming weeks. The fresh meat looked good.
Re: Gourmet Market, soon Big C Hua Hin Marché @ BluPort
I'd agree the fresh meat looked good, and you didn't get the smell that always seems to hang around the Pala-U road Big C pork counter. I was only glancing as I wandered, but prices seemed higher than Makro, but certainly nowhere near as high as those shown by the new Market Village butcher.

Re: Gourmet Market, soon Big C Hua Hin Marché @ BluPort
Thinking back to this morning's visit, and our weekly shop, there was one other thing missing which we need to buy each week i.e. dog food. I saw a small display of a brand I'd never heard of, but the selection of Lotus's was not available.
Therefore, with no bread and no pet food, Lotus's will have to remain our one stop shop, which is a shame because I liked a lot of what I saw today. Disappointing.
We will try it again in a few weeks to see if the situation has been rectified.

So are there any updates on the pros/cons of the new Big C Hua Hin Marché - is it worth a visit from Cha Am?

Maybe when it fully opens, but not yet. Lotus in Cha Am probably has a better and bigger selection and is cheaper.
