I have received a suggestion, which I think deserves recognition/consideration. The competition has been running for several years now, and I am aware the judging panel aren't Hua Hin/Thailand savvy. As an example, last week's competition contained, GLCQuantum, RTP, TAT and Som Tam - all of which would be meaningless to the panel. Additionally their perception of the Thai political situation/news will be different to ours.

I've been wondering what I could do about it for a long time. I once asked for a Thai judging panel. richard was the only volunteer, and he withdrew a couple of days later.

It has been suggested that we have a guest judge each week. In principal I like the idea. Obviously the guest judge wouldn't be able to participate in the previous week's competition - I would notify the next judge in ample time.

If anybody is interested in being a guest judge, please PM me. I will compile a list (in the order I receive PMs). I would mail a judging sheet (using the e-mail address held on the users profile) to the judge on a Thursday evening, which I would expect to be completed and returned within 24 hours to enable me to announce the result.

I wouldn't sack the current judging panel immediately  . I would alternate for a few months until I was sure the new regime was working.

So, if any of you guys are interested, PM your details - I would expect to start the new system in about a month's time.

WHATEVER HAPPENS, DON'T FORGET, IT'S JUST FOR FUN, AND THE JUDGE'S DECISION WILL BE FINAL.

I will provide an update in a week's time.

[BB - you mean one judge instead of the panel, just to account for the rare Hua Hin reference? Or a 'guest' judge to be part of the panel? As you said recently, if it ain't broke...]

The crowd began a chorus of "Swing low", then collapsed in a fit of giggles.

Yes. It's not broken, but I'm open to suggestions, and I think this one is worth a try. As I said

Why not just have the guy who selects the picture (who I believe is last week's winner) select the winning entry?

The leaning towards homo sexuality in Public schools was encouraged by 'big boys' showing their crown jewels off on the rugger field
