anytime, might as well give it away, the bloody government keep closing us anyway!! Only condition is that you have to drink a full bottle of some finish (not finlandia i hasten to add) vodka i got - you can have that free and any beers you drink after that i will glady get!!!

If Buksi goes for this everyone should come and watch!

Don't be silly, you'll enjoy the participation. However, the following week might be a blur

ref posts like this -

""HHS here. had your F/C a while ago and posted about my experience. Went back and read the beginnings of this thread on your place and found this.

"We value your custom and also your constructive criticism and I would like to ask you to return to The Olde Buffalo Tavern and let us make amends by allowing me to offer you our Fish & Chips cooked by me personally and free of charge (my bill). "

Would like to take you up on that offer, if it still stands.""

Please dont offer the free food anymore - its driving me crazy. You don't need to do it, if the people want to come let them. There is no perfect restaurant, particularly here in Hua Hin. You have a nice place and i understand the generous offer but some people cannot be pleased.

All the best

Agree 100%, JW. Bill, you have a nice place & do great food, as we all know. But there are always chancers/miseries. Methinks, chancers are the main operatives on this thread... :(

I really feel sorry for anyone producing 'ye olde farang food' in Thailand. You're in a no-win situation.
Anyone reminiscing about the taste of fish & chips, or any other Motherland food, will have in their mind this magical and wonderful flavour and/or experience. The longer the deprivation, the stronger the desire, and the more fantastic the illusions of the flavours.
I dream about Aldeburgh (in Suffolk) fish & chips, and Adnams Ale. So we pop back to the UK every 2 years and I have the fish & chips - they're OK, not as nice as I remember them. The Adnams never hits the spot and tastes flat and weak.
I've never been to your place Buffalo Bill, and I probably never will (just location), but don't let a little criticism stop you from doing your thing.

Very nostalgic

BUT never go back. Things are never what you remember before

Most farang food in Thailand is good and tonight I had a really good fillet steak and it was Thai steak. I'm not going to say where as that is another thread theme

Super kind offer Bill, but he'd get lost, and the little tuk-tuk would probably lose a wheel or something in the pot-holes. We're about 35km out of town, over the bi-par (or by-pass) and towards the bumpy bits and dangerous territory (getting near the communists, shhhh!).

If we ever find ourselves overnight in the metropolis, we'll pop by and have some fish & chips or two.
