Khun Oy doesn't ring true with me.... Was it not OY****? something that began with Oy?

No, definitely Khun Oy. He had several restauraunts at various times around town. I first used him at the Wonderland site about 2005 - it was quite a way out of town back then.

Ok fair enough. I went around 2010. I lived in the City then so yes it really felt 'out of town'.

I distinctly remember my first ever visit to soi 94 and there were a grand total of just three bars one of which I think was Star Bar(opposite the Parisian restaurant)

Incidentally whilst mostly female, Khun Oy is a name for both male and female is that correct?

I remember us having a moderator's meeting on Soi 94, just after the bar scene had started expanding. We aimed for a 3pm start, but nowhere was open. We ended up in Soi 94 restaurant for our meeting.

Haha. I remember Soi 80 having only one bar (Dick's Office) and a Thai restaurant!!

:neener: We stayed there on holiday before Dick's Office appeared. There was actually the Hot Pot Restaurant on the corner as well, giving it the nickname of Soi Hot Pot.

:offtopic: This is a Soi 94 thread.

According to a local YouTuber then the very popular Stumble Inn is coming to Hua Hin.
Many on here will be familiar with the Stumble Inn bar from Sukhumvit 4 Nana Plaza in Bkk.
Apparently they are taking what was the Sugar Sugar bar in the back corner of Wonderland.
Should be very good if the rumour is true.

Ps all we need now is a Hillarys!!

Never heard of it, so looked it up. Yes, it looks good, but in a 'back corner of Wonderland'? Methinks a much scaled down version.

Yes I make that sound a lot smaller than it is. They're taking a very large chunk of Wonderland but it's at the back not the soi 94 street frontage.

See video for size go to 09:40 min

Yes, that is certainly a BIG corner

I'm not a bar person, but I asked my son, who is my go to expert on such things, and he agrees, Stumble Inn is exactly what Wonderland needs. A variety of decent beer, and a few good food options.

That's why the toilets have been knocked down!
Only one female toilet for the whole of wonderland and most customers being the wrong side of 65 isn't good!

Good new addition on Soi 94

The Best Bar

It's the same owners as the old Full house
Good comfy seating
Great Toliets
Same model with the ladies but not as pushy, all wearing matching outfits
Reasonable prices
Good sports TVs
Great singer on at weekends
It's attracting couples, singles and I believe there is a room available 😅

I agree Best bar is head and shoulders above most bars in Hua hin. Somewhere you can take your wife or visiting friends who don't want the full on bar scene!

I've seen the following advert for Wonderland tonight. Does this mean the Stumble Inn has arrived, or is it still a building site?

Although anything is possible, I’d be very surprised if they are advertising on the day (as opposed to say next week) that tonight is party night - get your son down there BB!!
