A crowd of 13,251,the biggest in League 2 this season.
York got a point which I suppose is better than nothing for them but both they and Aldershot definitely need a couple of wins quickly or it could be bye bye to both clubs.

Don't forget Wimbledon.

Northampton made it to Div 1 briefly back in the 70s.

(Pete - until the early 90s, it was Divisions 1-4.)

'After the Lord Mayor's Show' :cuss:

The Green Army have been doing this for years. In fact it has often been their downfall. Play a team in the upper echelons of the division, and get a result. The following week, play a team near the bottom, and get annihilated. Yes, they were annihilated yesterday - only 2 shots at goal. Look at the BBC stats - it aint pretty.

Remember my warning after the Exeter game:

Which reminds me - I shared a house with an ardent Cobblers fan called Robin in the late 70s. We were the fullbacks in the same Kent League team. He had a perm, an unconvincing swagger and a large beer gut in his 20s. Last I heard of him he'd changed his name to Robina and was wearing women's clothes to work.

So, the quiz answer is because?

a) He (she) came from Kent?
b) At least 50% of fullbacks tend to become cross dressers?
c) The swagger was more of a provocative bottom wiggle?

I did hesitate on Oxford as I went through the league table, but then dismissed it. Were they one season wonders?

I actually saw Luton Town vs Arsenal at Highbury in February 1989. Alan Smith scored the other goal, can't remember the other one.

I must be getting old - this had been completely blanked from my mind. Wiki says:
They joined the Football League in 1962 after winning the Southern Football League, reaching the Second Division in 1968. After relegation in 1976, between 1984 and 1986 the club earned successive promotions into the First Division, and won the League Cup in 1986. Oxford was unable to enter the 1987 UEFA Cup because of the UEFA ban on English clubs in European competitions. Relegation from the top flight in 1988 began an 18-year decline which saw the club relegated to the Conference in 2006. This was the first time in the history of English football that a team that had won a major trophy was relegated from the Football League. After four seasons, Oxford was promoted to League Two in 2010 after a 3–1 win over York City in the Conference National play-off Final at Wembley Stadium.
