The Top Gear episode where Clarkson keep rolling that Robin was hilarious!
Well it looks like there is a big chance of some rain this weekend which would make for a super exciting place, fingers crossed! :thumb:

So - here we are, 25 minutes in to the Malaysian GP and it is suspended because of heavy rain

What a surprise :guns:

I really do not understand the FIA

Anyone who knows K.L and it's surrounds will tell you that it is VERY normal that it actually Pi55e5 down between 3 & 6 in the afternoon most days - especially at this time of year.

Apart from the lottery that it becomes, why dont they just start the race earlier or later (With lighting - a la Singapore)?

Ok there are TV timings etc but I truly think that it becomes a farce

I think it's CVC that sets the times, not the FIA?

Some surprising results given the rain, and perhaps the only win we'll see this season by Alonso....one can hope

RZR, JJB, Pitsch and Terry lead the field now. RZR and I had the best race with 8 points. No one picked Alonso to win.

Next up is China (I think in Shanghai) in 3 weeks time, April 15. Let's see if enough time for Ferrari to make their improvements. Good luck to all! :thumb: Pete

Yes DM, I'm still feeling a bit sore, but I thought I'd join JW at the bottom so he didn't feel so lonely.

Well done RZR and Pete scorching up the table  - I think this new format will see more place changes, although I don't really like it...

We've only just finished watching the race, thank goodness we downloaded it so we didn't have to sit through the boring rain bits. The radio message to Perez when he was thundering down on Alonso in the latter stages is quite intriguing. He could have won. Why didn't they tell him to hold off ten laps earlier?

I agree with Terry about the scheduling of the Malaysian GP. Maybe Mr. Ecclestone thinks that it will provide a little bit more excitement to what can sometimes be predictable and boring races.

In theory it'd be lovely to be able to go to an F1 Grand Prix here in Thailand, in practice it would be a total disaster.

1) They'd need to ship in marshals from the UK, at huge cost, just to guarantee the safety of the drivers.
2) All the best viewing seats would be taken up by VIP's.
3) The track surface would have the minimum amount of tarmac because the high-grade stuff would be used to make a nice drive-way for a local politician's house.
4) It wouldn't start on time.
and finally:
5) They'd be so many boring speeches to open the event that the drivers would doze off.

Yes, but look on the bright side:

1. There'd be an awful lot of delightful luk kreungs in skimpy attire to drool over.
2. erm... Okay, VS - you win.
