I asked a bit of this before about parking at Jing's and got replies that there wasn't.

How about a commercial parking lot somewhere near the beach pier restaurants and bar area. Is there any at all where a visitor can park a car securely and not have to worry about it? Or, within a 100meter walk thereof? Thanks. Pete

Nearest ones are the Hilton (no idea what they charge though) and there are two down near Ye Olde Buffalo Tavern run by the opportunists at the fishing pier - these used to be free but now are only free if you are eating in the restaurant opposite Bills, or possibly if you are Thai, otherwise they will ask for an unspecified amount, probably dependent on what car you drive and how rich you look. I was asked for 20 baht 'cos I was driving a dirty old pickup and was looking a bit scruffy...

When did the one near Bills stop being free ? I last parked there a couple of weeks ago with no questions asked as usual .The guy outside the restaurant opposite Bills has never let me park but the area to the left has never been a problem finding a space .

They don't always charge, but do at busy times like weekends and holidays. The charging as pointed out is a pretty informal affair, but weekdays etc seems to be free.

But it can get very busy when the boats are landing, which I guess depends on the tide.

How about a war on drink-driving & lazy slobs?

What is this numb-nuts doing drinking and driving? Surely this is more morally reprehensible than rudely parking on someone's doorstep!?

As suggested peviously in this thread, the silly fart would have done well with the exercise gained by walking. Consider the ease on the eye of seeing fit slobs trailing pretty ladies rather than of fat slobs doing same...

Welcome to the board bro, you wouldn't happen to run a local car rental company beginning with V by any chance?

:? :|

No worries, the 'V-drive' is a long standing joke amongst board members on the back of a persistent poster with a familiar theme and name.

I'll consider your motor offer as Mrs B has driven mine into the occasional fence after winning the sober contest pretty much every time.

This being my third post on your board, I'll take as a complement your suggestion that I might be persistant. Don't know about having any particular theme though... Just thought I'd make an obvious remark to get rolling!

Am intrigued to know under what name this persistant poster goes by and what the theme might be - always partial to a joke :)

Got a 2004 Vigo handy, full option but doesn't make toast or coffee...

"Witnessed a sorry spectacle yesterday at the Lime Light Bar.

A woman then started to scream from the Lime Light Bar telling the guy he parked no good. the guy came out and moved it back from the bar steps about 2 feet, she then started screaming that he should park outside El Murphy's.
She then phoned a Thai guy that runs the massage and restaurant opposite, he parked his Pick Up in the middle of the square. Screaming and shouting then followed from the Thai's. The Police came and gave the Thai guy a ticket (there is justice in Thailand).

When this all died down the women and girls that work in Lime Light STATED that if cars or bikes that park outside the bar whose owners did not come into the bar would be scratched.

If you have had your car or bike damaged in this area and wondered why or whom, perhaps this is the answer.

I was eating here in Lime Light at the time, will not again"

Bella....
I am the owner of the limelight bar and I was in my bar during this incident in question. The facts of the matter is the farang in question rudely parked directly in front of the stairs leading into my bar. This is not the first time he had done this. He was told by my manager to move his vehicle. He then proceeded to park it in the middle of the 5 corners. My mangager did not phone Racine...he came to put his vehicle in his parking spot behind his establishment but could not turn because of the manner in which the so called "innocent" farang had parked. This is why the incident occured and had nothing to do with my staff and you inncortedly infer. And at no time did my staff ever say that they regularly vandalize vehicles. If the had I would fire them on the spot and also their command of the English language is not good enough for them to be able to communicate such actions to you. Please only post facts on here in the future before you find yourself in libel trouble.

Once again

Post by ThaiKevin »

Bella wrote:To Clarify; The foriegner who was the innocent victim, parked his Honda Jazz nicely, not obstructing anyone, when all errupted he just calmly drove away.

The Thai had a large Pick Up Truck, he owns the massage accross from El Murphy's, he received the ticket.

The females were all shapes and sizes and all age's, approx 6 of them, screaming like banshie's on fire. Penny who runs the bar was the worst, she disappeared when the Police arrived. One of the women actually admitted to letting down the tyre of a farrang so he would have to stay the night.

What sort of place is the Limelight Bar, I come here because I like talking to Howard, not come here again.

Times might be tough here but ???????????????????
Once again Bella....be very careful what you are saying to the public. The libel laws in this fine country are very serious. I have not finished this reading the whole of this post yet but I will.

Slander

Post by ThaiKevin »

Bella wrote:The Thai guy who runs the Thai Massage/Bar is opening a Restaurant/Bar along the Temple wall oposite the Plaza his nme is Ratchet. He hates foriegner's but is quick to take their money, he owns the landFairways is on (new name now).

Penny used to run the Limelight and 99 bar's a few years ago, her daughter still works at Limelight as a BG, she has been a BG now for 4 years that I know. I know family's here turn a blind eye when one of their Kin works as a BG but to promote therfore pimp your daughter I find astonishing, tells a lot about a person.

These are not the nicest people in Hua Hin.
Now this is whitout a doubt slander. If you know so much you would know Penny does not even have a daughter. She and myself will be consulting with a lawyer as to the possibility of filing charges against you. I have not seen the Thai man,Racine, but he sued a farang for slander over the Fairways Bar a few years back and won his case with the farang almost losing his house. I will be sure to point out to him what you have said about him and his new business on a public forum. I think and a public apology is in oder for Penny if not myself for slandering my business.
