What happened with this kick-off time? Some people would be coming from a fair distance away to attend these games and yet someone takes it upon themselves to change the kick-off time. Had it actual started at 3pm some people would have missed the game completely. We had the same thing recently in a very important league game at Prachuap where the kick-off was put back an hour and a half. Some Hua Hin fans were there 2 hours before the actual kick-off. It probably resulted in a dire display which resulted in us getting a right good hammering. It is disgusting. Stop it now before I get very angry!!

Reading the 'excuses' they put it down to the fact the ground is rented, and the landlord (government???) won't spend the money to make the floodlighting reliable. Basically we have to wait for the new ground, which was being delivered last April. Thai builders the same article is now suggesting 2 years time.

It is a feeble excuse isn`t it. They really have to step into the 21st Century don`t they!! I have heard all the excuses when I was in the UK. Kick-off times were moved so that the bars were not open so that the supporters were not out of their faces to attend the Edinburgh local derby games between Hearts and Hibs. Football is played all over the world at different times of the day for one reason or another so why not in Thailand. The next thing we will hear is that we cannot have a 1pm kick-off because it will interfere with their Sunday roast dinners. I am still upset that after a really hard season which resulted in Hua Hin winning the League they are not automatically promoted and instead have to play in this ridiculous Champions League. The whole Thai Football League have to get a grip!!!

Well, I feel like a total

I arrived with a friend at the ground at 15:30. They announced a venue change at 15:15.

Vana Nava Hua Hin City are turning into the ministry of mis-information. Since winning the league, we've played 3 matches, but in that time I remember:

- 4 KO time adjustments
- 1 last minute friendly cancellation
- 2 venue changes

It is simply not good enough is it? It is just one balls-up after another. How can they possibly expect people to take them seriously when they feed their own supporters with all these mistakes. We cry out for meaningful games that can hopefully encourage people to attend the games and generate income into the football club and they go and do this. The mentality of these people to run a "big" club for me is now in serious doubt!!

Very sorry this is late guys, but an understandable lack of enthusiasm, coupled with a few technical issues are to blame.

BCC Tero 2 - 0 Vana Nava Hua Hin City

A long trip to the other side of Bangkok for this epic battle for the 2nd promotion place to Div 1. Hua Hin’s away support is growing, so it was a real bus this time, as opposed to a fleet of mini buses.

We arrived at the Pansa Stadium, which is shared by this year’s cup winning team, BEC Tero. Access/parking was probably adequate for a 2nd Division outfit, but probably very limiting for a Premier League side.

The ground itself was quite impressive (read new), and the stadium was being used for a lot of sporting activities.

The BCC crowd was very small (less than Hua Hin’s travelling army). This probably has something to do with the excessive cost of watching 2nd Division football there. I’ve been to quite a few football grounds this season, and the admission has been the same everywhere. BCC were charging double the admission of any other ground I’d visited.

Inside the stadium, it was very new, although cover from the sun/rain was very limited.

Hua Hin were fielding what is almost their strongest team. The only noticeable absentee was our captain Kanchit, who is still injured. His place was taken again by Sarawut.

The best team lost. After a very shaky start, Hua Hin controlled most of the game. In the end the difference proved to be the human tank BCC have playing at centre forward. A warning was given in the 10th, yes 10th second, when the tank made out own brick outhouse, Lampty look very stupid by skipping past him. With only Shota to beat, he hammered the ball against the woodwork.

After the scary start, Hua Hin gradually took control, and by half time the only result was going to be a draw, or a narrow win for Hua Hin.

The 2nd half started with Hua Hin well in control, and they missed chance after chance. By far the best fell to Kissana from a free kick. The BCC keeper was left stranded elsewhere in the penalty area, and Kissana managed to put the ball over the bar from within the 6 yard box.

A few minutes later, Kissana shot well wide from the edge of the 6 yard box, with only the keeper to beat.

BCC had to change things fast. A couple of fast crocks, and a double substitution, BCC had disrupted Hua Hin enough to take the game. The tank now took centre stage, and Hua Hin could easily have conceded at least 5 in the last 10 minutes. The tank broke free time after time and found himself with only Shota to beat. Inevitably, Shota is not a miracle worker, and conceded a goal.

The tank’s 2nd goal must be a contender for goal of the season. He literally steam rollered his way through the Hua Hin defence, knocking players like Stephens and Lampty (who I consider to be the best defensive pairing at this level) out of his way as he powered towards goal. I’m looking forward to the video to see if it still looks as good (or bad if you’re supporting Hua Hin) second time around.

Apart from the tank, Hua Hin were by far the better team, and I wish our own strikers could learn from him. A disappointing tactic employed by BCC throughout was for somebody to fall over feigning injury – this repeatedly stopped Hua Hin’s flowing football. In fact Kissana got booked when he failed to see a BCC player sit down, and didn’t put the ball out of play. Yes, although Thai football resembles FIFA rules, they do have some strange variations.

So, that should leave us in 3rd position, with 6 games to play. We are actually positioned better than we were when we won the league. Our next 2 games should be easy home and away against Phichit, then the crunch will be the return game at home against BCC. Mind you, away to Udon Thani the following week isn’t going to be a pushover either.

I’m still optimistic.

4th Worse than I thought. Maybe we need a few words of advice from buksida regarding what went on against Phichit yesterday - they are supposed to be the easy game. Nerves starting to set in?
