Here are the Champions League fixtures for Hua Hin City. Unless you want to travel to Udon (my flights have been booked for a couple of weeks), then you're only going to catch the Prachuab match. Both Hua Hin and Prachuab supporters have a great rapport, and win or lose, it should be a fantastic party.

After a baptism of fire at Prachuap, things are looking a little healthier after game week 2. We have significantly decreased our goals deficit, and have now played the other 2 champions. The next 6 games should get easier, before we play the champions again. Home to Udon Thani this Sunday, followed by a visit to the surprise package so far, BCC Tero.

URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT

Today's kick off time against Udon Thani has just been brought forward to 15:00hrs.

 I can't be certain, but I assume this is due to the unreliability of the floodlights at Fort Thanarat

Vana Nava Hua Hin City 2 - 0 Udon Thani

Wow!!! What a tense game that was.

Udon Thani's lowly position in the Champions League must be down to their troubles off the pitch rather than on it. This was one of the hardest teams I've seen matched against Hua Hin, and they have a lot to thank twin centre halves Lampty and Stephens for; coupled with yet another fine display between the sticks by Shota.

Anucha was back, but relegated to the bench. Hua Hin's twin strike force was again Kissana and Nutthapong.

The manager made a seemingly dire mistake in the 60th minute when he decided to replace Nutthapong with Anucha. Seconds before the swap, Kissana was pole axed in the opposition's penalty area. However, with his main striker being treated, the manager took his other striker off. Poor Kissana didn't recover, and was last seen getting into the back of an ambulance, with what seemed to be a very serious injury.

Without another recognised striker in his locker, the manager brought on Patay. Well, feeling quite deflated, I thought a scoreless draw was the best we could hope for. Surprise, surprise - Patay gave Hua Hin the lead within minutes of coming on the pitch. Yonsak secured the match in injury time with a captain's goal.

Full marks to a well drilled Udon Thani team, who basically collapsed where they stood when the final whistle blew.

If the Udon team was good, their support was even better. This was the first time I've ever known the Hua Hin Band/cheerleaders left wanting to compete with the Udon supporters.

Assuming that Prachuab will beat BCC Tero, I think Hua Hin will move into second place tonight.

Next week we travel to Bangkok to take on BCC Tero ourselves, so here's hoping Prachuap have sofened them up.

Other group results (now in from grounds with floodlights)

Prachuap 2 - 1 BCC Tero
Prachinburi 2 - 1 Phichit

This means Hua Hin are indeed joint 2nd with next weekend's opponents BCC Tero.

Prachuap are running away with it at the moment - 3 points clear at the top.

Sadly due to the fact that we had visitors I am absolutely gutted to have missed the game today. Thankfully I am now firmly in the picture thanks to Big Boy`s assessment of the proceedings. Once again the coach seem to disappoint him with his lack of knowledge of how to use substitutions. Nevertheless this result has put us back in contention again. It is a long competition and there will be many twists and turns until the end. Well done guys. Keep up the good work!!

One good thing this evening. I've been talking on Facebook to Kissana, and he says he is OK, and will see me at BCC Tero next week.

BCCT are very dangerous on the break, it was one of the toughest games Prachuap FC have had ... but John Mary came through!

Make sure your defense is solid next week, good luck.
