Music - what are people listening to now?

I enjoy this p*ss take by Reggie Watts on mindless misogynistic rapping

Kate Bush
Kate Bush, very appropriate for St. Georges Day (yes, yes, I know her mum is Irish!).
One of our great, unique artists and lo! She has some new music (sort of) coming out soon. Love this comment from Saturday's Independent (probably the last bastion of quality English journalism):
Compared to her multi-faceted, engrossing explorations of female desire, the pornographic self-abasement of many modern female singers seems more akin to an infant fascinated with its own faeces, dimly aware that there's something shocking about spreading it about, but unaware of the repercussions. How ironic, then, that Bush's deceptive subtlety has enabled her to investigate the kind of subject matter even the most brazen hip-hop queen would baulk at covering, such as paedophiliac desire, incest, cradle-snatching and, in the blackly humorous "Heads We're Dancing", the quandary of a woman who realises she's been dancing with Adolf Hitler.
No wonder Donald Sutherland is a fan (that's a joke folks, though he is a fan - see Cloudbusting)!
Ah, dear Kate Bush, so sensual. 3 songs, the 1st, then quite possibly her best and finally one of my favourites, from the album 'Hounds of Love'. You know, I sometimes wonder whether Dave Glimour was the man she sings about in 'man with a child in his eyes', as he was something of a catalyst in her career, but whatever, great lyrics.

Thanks caller, your Kate Bush post sent me to heaven this morning
I've always been a fan, and have just about everything she ever did. Having said that, I'd never heard that version of Running Up That Hill before.
I still find those eyes very hypnotic
I heard on the radio the other day that she is going on the road again. I've never seen her live, and hope the tour takes place before I leave the UK.

Thanks BB, I'm a big fan as well. What I love about that last clip is that she just looks likes she's having such a blast!

It’s none of my business what people say and think of me. I am what I am and do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. It makes life so much easier.

Cor, I played that track again BaaBaa.
If I hadn't been out on a golf course today in extreme conditions (a bit hot) I might just have had the power to put more Primal Sream on.
But as it is, I'll be lucky to get away from this keyboard and pull the drawbridge up before I nod off.

Alexi Murdoch - Breathe, from the SGU OST.

You might need to be a Brit to enjoy this? Kathy Kirby died in the week, she was a favourite of my Dad's and looking at this I can see why!
A great clip that sums up the early 60's - a young Jimmy Saville, two great songs belted out by the lady herself - what a voice and boy she looked good! And check out the band leaders antics on the 2nd song - some have suggested its Joe Loss?
