Under the new system you have to register and get a user password. It does state the first time you try the new system it won't work, you have to do the first one at immigration. I extended my visa in October and they updated my 90 day so it worked first time of trying for me a week or so ago.
Thanks for this, although I’ve just remembered why it didn’t work yesterday - I normally have my VPN active and set by default to the UK and I just remembered that the system only works if it believes you’re in Thailand (old age I’m afraid). Having turned the VPN off, it allowed me to register and almost immediately I received an email confirmation allowing me to log on and submit my 90 day report, followed by a further email to confirm that my application had been successfully submitted - hopefully the approval will follow very soon!!
Well, the new system is working well, approval received!!

I submitted the application at 10-00 am. What I received was not an approval, just an acknowledgement.
Just now at 18-30 pm I received the "approved" notice attached to an email.

So, maybe this is going to work a bit better than previously. :thumb:

It worked fine for me and no longer tells me that I'm overstaying my visa.

Keep in mind that to download either the TM47 or the receipt, you need to turn off any popup blockers (in other words, enable popups). I'm not sure why they decided to have the PDF files appear as popups rather than in a new tab/window; especially since there's no message telling you that you need to enable popups for the page to work properly.

What is the turnaround time on the new system? Its been stuck as 'pending' for a couple of hours now - the previous one approved them almost instantly (on the rare occasion when it actually worked).

Mine took a few days. Submitted on the 15th, approved on the 18th.

Cheers - it runs out in two days, so there is still time before I have to waste half a day driving to Prachuap and back.

I thought that online submissions had to be made at least 7 days before expiry?

I believe that has been changed to: "up to 15 days before", or some such gibberish.

:cuss: Effing thing still stuck pending - so much for the new and improved system. Off to Prachuap it is then. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

From what has happened above it would seem sensible to apply on line 15 days before the due date.
Actually I have always done that when it was working and no problem, regardless of the fact that my next due date may be some days earlier than it might have been.

When is the due date? If you are going to have to go there, then you have up until 7 days after the due date.

It was just as well I wasted 2.5 hours driving for less than 1 minute spent in the Dansingkhon office yesterday, as this morning I was greeted with this email:
"Your application for "STAYING LONGER THAN 90 DAYS" has been rejected.

For further information regarding The 90-day Notification Report Service.

Please contact the Immigration Branch Office in your residence area. "
No way I'm risking a fine by going after the date, don't care what any website says, I've been fined for it before.

The only country that upgrades things to make them far more complicated and less efficient than they previously were. At least with the old system you knew instantly whether it was approved or rejected (mostly the latter), the new system leaves you in limbo for days ... Thailand 4.0 :banghead: :guns:
