Dates when no alcohol sold in Hua Hin

That is like asking how long is a piece of string DB. I've asked the question many times, but have never received a definitive answer.

I know of a few bars that are closed all day both Sat & Sun. I'm sure that'll be the case for the majority.

However, Im sure a fair few bars on Soi 80 will be open until 6pm on Sat as that Soi gets afternoon trade usually. Or so I'm told by a friend who goes to a bar thats only open in day time, closes at 6.

Thailand will allow alcoholic beverage sales on five Buddhist holidays in some places, including international airports, from Saturday in another push to promote tourism.

The limited sales cover only international airports, nightlife venues, hotels and places hosting national or international events on five key religious days of Buddhism, according to the announcement of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Committee signed by Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra on Wednesday...........

Hua Hin is never included in these things despite being a tourist town. The powers that be want to keep their tight grip on things here, and nightlife remains curtailed.

Such a vague instruction, especially when Mr. Taopiphop is quoted in the Bangkok Post as saying:

"I don't want to see anyone getting arrested because of this misunderstanding," Mr Taopiphop said.

I don't know what's happening in town but there are bars open out in Hin Lek Fai.

I can't confirm as I'm in my room sipping on a cold one watching and listening to this belter of a storm

They may as well be closed, I can't believe anyone would go out in this!

Tonight is becoming an exercise in perseverance, we started with an election ban, that was followed by a biblical scale deluge and now we have a power cut!
