Both Parahandy and I have lived in the Hua Hin area for over 5 years. We always use All-In Hua Hin as our base when we're shopping (once every two or three weeks) - you can add it up! Sometimes the service is a bit slow - but with a wave of an arm and a smile we can usually attract the attention of a waitress. We have never had a bad meal there.

I really don't think that one bad experience at a restaurant warrants such a public thread. Especially as the owners (who are always ready and willing to listen to customers' comments and/or complaints) weren't there to sort out the problem.

PS: They've got lovely clean loos. And English bacon that would knock the socks of any bacon bought in England.
Couldn't agree more, the food is delicious and I'm a regular customer for that very reason. Maybe the original poster has an axe to grind. I think the number of regulars I see in there every time I go in suggests that most people who go there come back for more. That should be enough to tell you that it's a top-notch establishment. Leave the naysayers and the bar room storytellers to depict their tales of woe and let the rest of us just enjoy the delicious food.

Not everything posted on the internet is true, especially as we are all mostly anonymous unless we choose otherwise. The owners have not had their reply so we have only heard one side of the story. I have a funny feeling that the side we are hearing is only a small part of it. To everyone who is unsure, I say try it, decide for yourself, and ask yourself whether your experience matches up to the OP. If it does, avoid AIHH. If not, then enjoy the great food (especially the large breakfasts) and tell everyone about it.

Me neither but it can be funny watching the tourists fall for that crap.

Or maybe he just had crap service, as I did on the only occasion I'm ever going to eat there.

'Naysayers and bar room story tellers?' This is a thread about the standard of service in a restaurant. Your experiences have been good, and I'm very happy for you, but I don't think there's any need to be quite so dismissive of those who haven't had such luck.

All in Hua Hin .... time for a change

Post by lockwood74 »

I wasnt going to mention this as I dont normally like to post negative news. We have been there many times for breakfast liked it until we saw them digging up the toilets and cooking food just next door. The cooking facilities are not that great, hidden round the back, go and have a look..... :( The table cloths have seen better days. We went once and they brought the wrong order, staff were extremely rude (The big short one in particular)

We dont go anymore. We go over the road where it was a whare house selling beer, now converted in to a resturant... free internet, newspapers and very clean everywhere.

You imply in your posts that the OP is a lie and dismiss all other posters who have had bad experiences at AIHH as "naysayers and the bar room storytellers" Perhaps you are a spokesperson for the owner? If not, thats how it appears. You think all the posters on this thread who have had bad experiences at AIHH are liars?

Super, I stand by what I said whether the OP was making it all up or speaking the truth. If I encountered this level of rudeness I would be out of there and never go back. And if you are holding your breath waiting for the owners to reply, you will have a long wait. Never gonna happen! Why should they care at all? We have hashed out on previous threads that the western concept of fostering "repeat business" is not a given here and the focus is often on the sale of the moment, tomorrow be damned.

 why did you say you never went back to AIHH after a dispute over an olive? :neener: You are as consistent as an EPL referee!!

Ah Jock, you want to do battle, OK, but its just in fun, from my side, for those of you who may think otherwise.

on the olive: I didnt say why I never went back over the olive? But I think i explained it. :) but maybe not well enough. I talked to a manager or co owner-- someone who came over to rescue the waitress from defending the green olives. so I assumed it was someone of consequence in the establishment, not just a well meaning customer

I wrote

A large blond woman came over, musta been the mama san. I explained the situation. She said, "That's the way we make a Greek salad here. We haven't had any complaints."

Maybe your customers never been to Greece. Don't call it "Greek" salad.

If we used Kalamata olives we'd have to charge more.

Ok, so charge more.

But nobody would buy it.

Forget it, I just wont come back! "

why did i not go back? , I didn't go back after the "dispute" in your words, over the olive because the authority figure said. Thats the way we make a Greek salad here"

To be very clear, I didn't want to go back an order a "hamburger" to be served a sausage and be told "Thats the way we make a hamburger here." :thumb:

Those EPL ref's do a right good job
