Cars suck, driver training is non existant, feel sorry but this sorta sh@t can happen in any country it is unfortunate these risks are multiplied in LOS but maybe im just young dum full- o - u know what and i will still throw a leg over next time im in LOS. We can wrap everybody in cotten wool, or better still lets ban every vehicle on the road. Lets all walk everywhere. You can give all the driver training you want but it wont improve jacks@#t. I have done the same "stay upright courses" in oz as my friends and i myself have adjusted my attitude to riding and driving, but i still have mates going nuts after same course--------results were broken legs, arms, spine, braindamage(vegetable).
In oz over the years road safety and restrictions on obtaining licences have had a heavy focus and it is even harder to obtain a licence now than what it was 10 years ago. Yet our road toll goes up year after year. This attracts a heavy media focus. And makes it even harder for newer drivers to get a licence.
I believe driving/riding is about attitude, driving/riding are not hard skills to learn but when you get 1 or multiple F#$kwits with a bad attitude then look out.
How can you teach someone with a s@#t attitude to drive/ride better. You cant!
If they pass that test then they are right to go.
Im sorry for anyone who have lost freinds or relatives in traffic accidents anywhere in the world i know i have.
Can you remember back 20 years ago? I can and there was f*^kall traffic in my neighborhood nowdays it is nearly like bkk, and with more traffic and s@#t attitudes if you wanna live u gotta be a step above the game.

Ohh yeh here is a useful tip-- Take your own nationally approved helmut (OZ,USA, UK ect all have good standards for this) if you plan on throwing a leg over. And stay the F#ck outta the way of any vehicle larger than yours. Follow these 2 rules and you can have a damn good time and see some of the most fantastic places the world has to offer.
