Hope so, but his message could refer to ManU? But if true, it just keeps on getting better and better for Chelsea. Cech has also signed a deal to keep him at the Bridge until 2016 and it sounds like Ivanovich is set to reject overtures from the special one at Real Madrid, which just leaves the right back and managers position to resolve!

I can't believe all the hype about this player & especially the price tag . . . . £32 million

He looks half decent but a couple of good seasons in the French league isn't much to go on :|
Apparently he's a bit of a moody sort, with a big ego . . . . he'll fit in well at the bridge then

Just a side note that the movie "United" about the 1958 Munich plane crash is playing on HBO this week. Not an exceptionally well made movie, but as emotional as a movie can get. If you come away from it with a dry eye you're made of concrete. Good insight for folks who are not totally familiar with the incident or the team back in those days. Pete

NB This is not a wind up Baabaa post. Will the fans and players see him (or Martinez) as big enough to manage their team?

Many, like me, think he may be worth a punt, after reading that article I posted and reading up on him a bit, I like his views on the game, I'd say he's alot more "continental" than British. Many fans see his potential but feel it's to early for him.

I'm more concerned about him attracting the bigger name players, which is why I'll be much happier if, as I'm hearing, Louis Van Gaal is becoming Director of Football. Van Gaal is a massive name so that'll be a plus.

I'd prefer Rafa as I know what he's capable of, but Swansea played some of the best Football in the league last year so I'd give Rodgers a chance, unlike Hodgson, where I felt totally negative about it.

Wenger et al had to start somewhere.

Done deal!

No word on DOF yet but interestingly Van Gaal was Mourinhos mentor, plus he's a mean and has won everything there is so I'm hoping he comes.

It's a massive gamble but I like what I've read about Rodgers, I'd just feel much more comfortable with Louis Van Gaal in place.

Chelsea have agreed a fee for Hulk, good player but not worth the probable 30 million + price. Their Manager must have a plan...... Oh wait!
