Great to see you guys are 'getting some' with the soi dogs .... hoooo rahhh!
Shot one the other day that I found asleep under the building ... never seen a dog move so fast.
dozer, where can you buy those sonic blasters in Thailand? I have seen some on eBay but they want silly money to ship them.

You seem to know me well ,have we met before for you to know all my details (quite scarey). The dogs at the top end of Soi 88 are not a worry to me at all.
Yes I have a large fence and gate around my property but last year when I was staying at my house each night a mongrel dog would jump the fence and destroy my bin and spread the rubbish everywhere. Not much fun waking up and having to pick up rubbish whilst Im on holidays.
One night I caught a look at the dog it was a large white dog and he was alot larger than the normal soi dogs. In the morning again with rubbish everywhere I saw the dog out the front of my house so I chased him away with my shovel.
A Policeman across the road saw what I was doing and came over and spoke to me re what was happenen I explained it to him and he said that he would fix the problem .Sure enough the next day he called me over to the complex over the road from me and took me over to the Police ute and in the back one dead white Soi dog .He said if I had anymore problems to let him know .
The day I was leaving I dropped over to thank him again and took over my left over duty free vodka .He was stoked with the vodka and assured me when I returned next year there would not be a dog problem so maybe thats why there are no dogs near my house .
I will make sure I bring him another bottle of Vodka as it seem he might of fixed the problem
So Mr Crazy if you need any culling done let me know and I will try to fix it for you and Im sure my knew Thai Police friend will keep an eye out for the thieves as well![]()

Oh you seem to have found the solution to killing dogs..just bribe the Police with vodka

I suppose it takes the risk of killing the wrong dog...imagine shoting a Thai neighbours pet that may have strayed onto your land by mistake...how do you tell some Soi dogs from pets?

Either you are a bloody awful shot and therefore dangerous, or you left a wounded dog roaming, therefore dangerous. IMO you are not only dangerous but stupid.Shot one the other day that I found asleep under the building ... never seen a dog move so fast.
Woke up this morning breathing that's a good start to the day.

I knew that would raise one of the ferral treehuggers which is why I did not add that it was a BB gun.lindosfan1 wrote:oscarmike said

The mangy beast was on my land, it was lucky to get away with a pellet in the ass, next time it'll be a Coumatetralyl sandwhich.

People like you are the danger for encouraging the spread of these verminous beasts.

No I am not a tree hugger, you are too stupid or tight to put up a fence. I had a 4 foot fence, my own dog (not a soi dog), stopped the Thais feeding soi dogs near my property, problem solved without injuring any animal. Shooting or poisoning dogs will not solve the problem others will move in to take over the territory, Get some common sense (which it seems you are lacking) and you will solve the problem.

The soi dog lovers are ganging up on me now, how amusing. The type of hypocrites that would kill a snake in a second but cry over a ferral mutt because humans have domesticated them.
No, I shall not spend thousands on fencing off multiple rais of land when a few hundred baht on rat poison will do the job, there is some common bloody sense that you lot seem to be lacking. The next lot that move in will get the same treatment if they can't keep off my property.

I have the same attitude towards dogs and burglars. If they are on my premises and pose a serious threat, they will be shot. End of story.

Re: Dealing with dogs and irresponsible owners
Oscarmike my last comment here, if you you do not understand, POISONING DOGS WILL NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM OTHERS WILL MOVE IN TO TAKE OVER.
All you will do is get more and more frustrated. Fencing need not be expensive.
I agree it can be frustrating, but whose fault is it.
1. The Thais for failing to educate people on owning dogs.
2. The Thais for failing to control the strays
3. Yours for failing to protect your property sensibly.
If you did not realise the problems that incur when buying a large plot of land, that is bad planning.
If you have a large number of rais you must be isolated, therefore what is attracting the dogs, someone is feeding them.
Dogs will only go where there is food.
With luck you may read and inwardly digest this, if not you are more stupid than your posts demonstrate.
