I should think finishing it would be the favourite part Mr.P; if you did that to anyone apart from volunteers you would have Amnesty International knocking on your door!
:lach: It does seem like it, Steve, but having just dropped them off at their home, I know they are already feeling a touch of sadness. When you go through these intensive cleanses you develop a bond between the 'teacher' and 'student', which is not directly related to them begging for food and me giving it to them! They come to my home and we figuratively, if not literally, break bread together.

The really nice part is sharing a little of their sense of achievement. Neither has ever experienced anything like this before and it's opened up a whole new world for them to explore if they choose. If you have ever travelled you know that most of the time you are lost, there is a degree of anxiety and the whirl of impressions can be overwhelming. The mind holds on to the highlights and we tend to forget the down side. This is just the same. The periods when we are with ourselves and have to fill time can be challenging for some. Later, though, they will forget this and reflect on the sense of achievement and the unique experience.

It really isn't that difficult. 10 days may sound as daunting to some as climbing Everest but not if you take it one step at a time, one bite at a time, one day at a time. Before you know it, it's over and you're complaining it's passed by too quickly. A bit like when we were running on the Mouse Wheel called work and taking our all-too-short holidays.

I hope you all enjoyed this topic. Thanks to the board members for letting it evolve without trying to mug it. :thumb:

Thank you Mr Plum, this has been the most informative and interesting topic I have read on HHAD.

It was the first thing I looked at each day and unfortunately there will now be something missing.

It was also free from the ignorant one line comments one often see.

Yes, it made interesting reading MrP. I’m afraid I would make a dismal student for your programme, as I intend to spend the next couple of weeks trying to cram as much rubbish into my body as I possibly can as I’m a firm believer that the true spirit of Chrismas comes in a 75cl bottle to wash down your plum pudding.
Not an admirable thing I admit, but having just spent some months of fixing airplanes in ice, snow and freezing fog, I don’t feel much inclined to embark on a regime that severe.
However to show some sympathy for your ideas I will promise to consume the pineapple slice that garnishes the cocktail glass in my favourite beach bar!

I would also like to follow others to say how interesting and informative (and inspiring!) this thread has been.

I would be very interested to know any other time that you will be conducting the program in the future as I would love to join (however I will warn you now, I get incredibly moody when hungry!)

Thanks again and here's to more threads like this!

Many thanks for the feedback, ADW.

Not to worry. My wife and I will be on hand to quench those hunger pangs. If you pm me your contact details, I can let you know when we're ready for the next set of victims.

Cheers.

Hello to all readers of this thread.
Me and my wife are the detoxers in MrPlum's program. First of all we would like to say "Thank You" to MrPlum and his family for all the patience and hospitality ,they provided for us. Specially doing this with our 3 years old daughter (she knows how to be really noisy).

This has been experience ,we will be talking about for long time to our friends. Maybe some of them will realize how they live and what they eat ,and will want to do something about their life style ,before is too late. Most of the people are looking for solutions when they have a problems. Some people will take it as an another story and talk about it,like I know people who did this. But will not take any action on their own.

So what are the benefits ? MrPlum already wrote about it everyday as we progressed thru the program. We can confirm that ,we are ,what we eat.We feel much more mindful and relax. Weight loss is only one of those benefits and with our intake control we can be in control of our own weight. We have learned which foods are benefiting us and which not.Thai cuisine is best in the world ,to us, even we are Europiens and like to eat those hams, smoked meats, sausages and drink plum brandys, wines, beers etc. But we found we can live without those to us special foods and drinks, we used to love.

Most of the time in detox I was hungry , my wife absolutely not and she stayed on for 12 days to match MrPlums detox record. The hard part for me was the smell from foods that children were eating in front of my nose. The roasted garlic is killer.Breathing excercises and yoga are absolutely helpful , and we continue with it daily. Now our daugther likes to eat the foods we eat.

Everything is in our minds only. There is more to life than our full stomachs and appetites. Enjoy.

This link goes nowhere (at least not on my PC).

Not sure what you are talking about, but I am a very firm beleiver of detoxing - having done several over the last few years (different to the Master Clense mentioned in this thread).

Am starting another in the coming days.

Please enlighten us to the nonsense to which you refer.

I've detoxed twice and 90% of it is 'state of mind' Mr P correct me if I'm wrong. You need an open mind and cleansing of the body cleanses the mind

I'm a drinker, smoker and in my youth, a fornicator of note. but when the body goes on strike and the brain/dick doesn't listen it's time for a detox.

Have you tried one with an open mind?

Surely that article is simply about bogus Detox Products. I don't see anyhting disclaiming the Detox Phylosophy.

I'm sure those that have successfully detoxed, adn I certainly include myself, do not purhcase Detox kits, but follow a researched a tested diet often accompanied with herbal suppliments to either vitalise, detoxify or to act as a diuretic/laxitive as part of the natural detoxifying process.
