While it may be possible, it is highly unlikely that the Typhoon will reach either Vietnam or Thailand. As it states in that report, a Typhoon needs fuel to continue, and as it crosses the coast into the Phillipines, it loses that source and runs out of puff.

In addition, the big high pressure areas reaching south out of China, will tend to block it even if it reforms after crossing the Phillipines.

It is centered at latitude 15.9 degrees north. Longitude 107.9 degrees East. Hoi An, Vietnam, moving west, away from KhongJiam. Ubon Ratchathani province, about 243 km, affects the north. Northeast & Central Heavy to very heavy rainfall with strong winds during 28 September-1 October 2022 (data from JMA on 28 September 2022 at 08:05)

We had half of that last night!! Maybe a slight exaggeration but it was certainly very heavy and after a lull, it’s raining again now.

Yes a slight exaggeration as Hin Lek Fai had 3mm !!

Absolutely, we had a good 20mm and we’ve had a lot more this morning resulting in me having to drain water from the swimming pool.

I drove home from Ratchaburi, arriving on Soi 94 at 21:30, and not a sign of rain, although some big puddles this side of the airport bridge.
