This coming from the man who said the FA Cup final was a good game.

Whatever!!!

Both teams deserved to be in the final because they beat everything that was put in front of them to get there.

As for apologies, no need, it was a decent performance.

You cant buy places in finals, unlucky Chelsea.

When did Liverpool sign Phillips?

What the hell has a european final got to do with Chelsea?

All of you get over it. It was just a game of football and not a good one at that. There are far more important things going on than that.

KD - its the stuff of life!

Off to work now, to face another scouse fan (from the home counties, of course), its a known fact that all true Liverpudlians support Everton.

Excuse me while I duck....................

The fact I'll be heading to Manchester Airport and flying to Bangkok this time in 2 weeks is some consolation.

Sorry Caller but it isn't.
The things to get worked up about are things like the little girl abducted in Portugal or the HH Dog rescue Centre. Child poverty. The state of the Health service. Why is the UK involved in Iraq? The drug problem any number of other issues.
It is obscene the amout of money in the game now when there far more deserving uses for it.

thats a fair point & i agree with you kd but this is the sports fans section!
i'm sure things will quieten down a bit for a few months but come august when the new season kicks off again it will be business as usual.
its good to have an outlet from the daily rigours & problems of the world & football provides that for a vast majority of people. hard to understand if you're not a fan but the same vice versa.
roll on august :D !

Yes it is the sports section but there is no need to go overboard about it.
It is only football that seems to have this effect . This overzealosness has contributed to fan wars and hooliganism at matches.
You never see that at rugby matches. You should feel the passion in The Millenium Stadium when Wales play it is fantastic but fans enjoy themselves and stand/sit side by side opposition fans pint in hand and enjoy the match whatever the outcome. Same at Twickenham, Murrayfield and Landsdown Road.
Great atmosphere but no aggro. They know where the priorities are.
Enjoy the game, enjoy the fun but no trouble.
Gridiron in America is not affected by crowd troubles. Opposing fans camp out in the car parking areas and have barbeques next to each other with no problems. Why oh why does football have these problems?

Rant over I think.
It is not that I dislike football far from it but just get it into proportion.

I think Sebastian and Charles did once put there dukes up and have full blown fisticuffs at a rugby game.
