The main and only stage is at the Sofitel.
"This year there will be the Heineken Zone offering a perfect vantage point to enjoy the performances on the oceanfront Sofitel Stage with the decoration in Heineken Style."
Plenty of parking has been laid on at the following locations:
Salesian School (160 cars)
Hua Hin Market Village (1300 cars)
Ban Hua Hin School (50 cars)
Hua Hin Municipality (100 cars)

Last night was awesome, the final band from Italy simply rocked, wouldn't call it jazz though. Photos coming soon!

must say ... after friday was already pretty squeezed, i didnt even to go there on saturday.
a very commercialised event indeed.
great for some folks, but has nothing to do with enjoyment for me when you have to press yourself through masses of people.
again: they'd better organised the event along with the tides charts.
perhaps some smaller, cozier events next year instead of a bing bang?

Jazz is not suited to big crowd events. Hua Hin is a snobbery place and the organisors have called it a "Jazz" festival to attract the poser Bangkokian's of which there were plenty. Why not a rock festival or even "music" festival. It's called a Jazz festival to suit an image. Heat / crowds / pretend music / posers / bland springs to mind. I'd rather count sheep than be one. Baaa!

I would really really like to dig into the organisers of the event but i wont
I will comment the event has depreciated in quality in the last 2 years
the crowding problems have only arisen since everything has been literally herded onto the beach, no thoughts about public safety have been taken into account one access and egress point to the event is quite obserd.
Jazz in TH is obviously not the same as the rest of the world
The only band that had any umph was Montefiori cocktail on Friday night
absolutely bang on!! but not quite a Jazz band
At the end off the day take it for what it is a free concert (not exactly a festival) and take the Jazz part a little tongue in cheeck terminology.

What a bunch of moaners! Were we at the same event?? No, it wasn't all jazz strictly speaking, but a group of us got there for eight o'clock both nights with wine and food and room to stretch our legs. The atmosphere was great, people were friendly... Much as I like the music at genie bar, it's so nice to listen to live music without knowing which song is coming next in the set. There should be more events on the beach.

But if you do digest all of that, I wonder where jazz with european roots (?) fits in, strongly represented in Oslo, and now personified by the ECM label, ruled by the German matriach / producer Manfred Eicher who boasts such artists as Tomasz Stanko (a Pole) and Jan Garbarek (Norway)! They just happen to be two of my favourite artists.
With luck they might be performing in HH next year.
