That seems to be the crux of it, massive anti-Cambodian sentiment at the moment, they've always blamed Burma for all of their own problems, and they don't really like farangs when you get to the roots of it. This just seems to be more of the govt/army-stoked xenophobia and nationalism that is being stirred up here at the moment, which is just as bad as religious extremism IMO.

Only my opinion, but I'd put racial hatred and killing in the name of an arbitrary line on a map in the same box as religious hatred and killing in the name of an arbitrary god ... its all extremism, which there is already too much of in this world.
