Does anyone recognize the below name? He appeared on our F1 pool and I didn't get any notification from Superbru and I don't recognize him as a forum member.

Half of the Flying Finns duo, Bottas, wins in Australia and gets the new 1 point for the fastest lap. Hamilton second and Verstappen third. More later......
After yesterday's celebrations ( ) didn't make the 5am (UK) start for the GP, but after reading the post race reports, it seems Ferrari's Charles Leclerc will be one to watch and certainly someone Vettel will need to watch out for!
Mercedes dominance looks a little ominous for their rivals, and also goes to show the pre-season "results" didn't really count for much. Reports again indicating that Mercedes/Hamilton still having issues with tyre wear - anymore info?

As we've seen before many times, the one who gets off to a fast start in this pool often goes on to win it. Congratulations to Blacky who had the best race!
Following are the pool race results, and pool standings which are the same given this is the first race.

Some changes this year with tyres. Hamilton dodged around questions saying he would have to speak to the engineers first. Probably more to do with his long face when he doesn't win!
Thank you...a bit surprised to be leading the pack. I'm sure this will change with Bahrain. I had Ferrari down much stronger and they clearly have some work to do. Guess I was lucky with my choice of TOP 10.
Cheers,
B.

He looked perfectly upbeat in the post-race interviews to me...
I've not heard any reports of Mercedees or Hamilton complaining about issues with tyre wear, either.
Anyway, Mercedes have confirmed that Hamilton had floor damage to his car so that explains where some of his pace went.

Possibly, but Melbourne Park tends to throw up a few odd results. It's not a particularly representative track. Ferrari were a similar margin behind Mercedes in qualifying last year and also faster in them during the race - Vettel only won due to the timing of the safety car. But it was a much closer season following that. Well, for a while at least.
